IMG_2772.jpg IMG_9730.jpg should I switch out my 20s for some 18s ? The bottom picture with the XSPX is my current set up and the tundra in front of the garage is what I’m looking at doing. Also, I’m your experience is there significant savings on the price of tires for 18 inch wheels vs 20 inch?

17s are where the cost savings really come into play and open up C load tires as well

Yea I don’t really want to go lower then 18s I feel like the wheel looks to small if you get lower then that

I'm just glad OP isn't referring to wheels as rims, go 18.

Always a fan of the smallest wheel you can run. The more sidewall there is the better the ride usually is.

Yea I wouldn’t mind improving the ride a little for sure.. but I also like the look of a more beefy tire. I think I’ll go with Nittos this time

If you plan on buying different wheels anyway, then go 18. It looks better and rides better. If you want to change just because the 18" tires are less expensive, then buying a $2000 set of wheels to save $20 per tire is not worth it.

Yes I’m more wanting to change for the look and better ride … but a little tire savings would just be an added bonus .. I’m going to need new tires soon anyway

I had 20s before, switched to 18s. In my experience, it's a much more comfortable ride, specially here where I live with potholes and terrible roads. As far as looks go both look good with a nice wheel/ tire setup

It depends on the wheel you go with. I went from 20s to 17s. My truck looks much better, rides smoother, and gas mileage went up since I switch to a lighter wheel\tire combo. Both times I was at 35" tires.

    Mods: Ongoing... probably never ending
This is very true, however, hitting a pothole/curb/rock can damage a wheel or sidewall and likely make you loose hours of your time... Sure, you'd have to go fast to do that.
Offroading and 20's have no business being together.

@blee If the above scenarios are not a concern, perhaps the savings are not there at all. Plush-ish ride is what you're left with.

I would do 17’s more meat on the tire. Or 18 if you don’t do to much wheeling on the dirt

I ended up going with this set up. 18inch Fuel rebel 5 wheels with 275/65 R18 Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Wish I could have went a little bigger on tires but this looks fine I think.. any bigger and I think I would have some rubbing without modifying stuff since I don’t have a lift. There are the same height as my previous tires with the 20s

Doing the same. My 2025 has 20's, my 2022 had 18's...

Bought a set of aftermarket 18's back in 2023 [OEPLUS w/ +15 Offset] that I really like, then traded that truck in on a 2025. Put original OEM rims back on before the trade.

Didn't like the stock rubber that came with the 25' so I pulled them off and installed a set of winters I had on a rack from a 2016 F150 [winter season when I got the 25's] that fit the 20's.

Now going to put the 18's back on with KO3's [275/70 R18's].

Nothing yet except for some LED interior & exterior bulbs.
Any issues with caliper clearance with 17's? Need to be careful placing wheel weights on the inside?
