I've been in the technology industry since the mid 90's. Back then .gif was closing on 10 years old already, and everyone still used the soft G. Most folks use the hard G now. I can't hate either pronunciation.

It's certainly bluesy, and heck, it's in the name. But Bluegrass is absolutely more part of country music.

I love when bluegrass elements are added to other genres. Banjos as a little accent are great. A fav song:

Yeah some of the newer stuff is too pop rock. But then there's some like Toby Keith who managed to make it work.

Do we have any Las Vegas experts in here? Run down of the situation:

Going to California to buy a motorcycle, and driving with a uhaul bike trailer in tow. A buddy is coming with for the road trip and there are two ways it'll play out based on how his day tomorrow goes.
    1. The OG plan, he works tomorrow and heads my way (approx. 5 hours) when off shift. That'll put him here somewhere between 9PM and 12AM tomorrow night. When he gets here we hook up the trailer and set out with me behind the wheel and we make non-stop push to get there during banking hours of the 8th. Load the bike and turn and burn our way back so he can work early the morning of the 10th.
    2. There is a chance his work is cancelled for tomorrow, in which case he will head this way much earlier and likely arrive between 10AM and 2PM. We will set off then, but will stop for a hotel at some point because we need to be in CA during banking hours of the 8th. He still has to be back for early AM work the 10th.

Vegas is close to CA without being in CA and the slower pace would make for a better trip. I just have no idea what hotels are worth a crap, not stupid expensive, and can accommodate a truck and trailer easily, and is going to be safe for the vehicle and us. Any Vegas gurus with a recommended hotel for a possible last minute overnight stay?
