Thought I’d share a story about Adam (Adam Polishes). This is 2010 or so, Phoenix, AZ, and I had a black Z06 that was swirled up pretty bad. I saw an ad for a a demo of Adam’s products that was to held at a local speed shop, so I took the Z06 down there.
Adam and one of his employees had rented a black Jeep Cherokee that was their product demo vehicle. The paint was in bad shape, an understatement. They went through washing, claying, polishing, engine bay, wheels etc. When it came to polishing they did half the hood and left the other half for comparison. Difference was amazing. They eventually did the other half of the hood:D
Towards the end of the session Adam took individual questions and I asked a few. He asked if I had the car there and to pull it up. Adam guided me on correcting the paint, using his products of course, went further and showed me what his wheel polish could do on the drivers front wheel.
    Only the drivers front wheel.
So now I have one wheel that looks great and 3 that don’t. I asked if he was going to do the other 3 wheels, and with a huge grin, he declined.
At that point I’d already bought a Flex polisher and a kit of Adam’s products that surprisingly did not include the wheel cleaner…so I started to head back in to the shop to buy some of that. Adam says hang on, and tosses the remainder of the wheel cleaner he was using in my front seat. Cool move:thumbsup:
I learned a ton at that seminar and have been a faithful Adam’s customer since. Still have the Flex polisher I bought that day.

I was referring to the brand “DIY detail”. Sorry I wasn’t clearer.

I have never, ever seen so much dust come out interior carpets or mats then before when using this. I highly suggest wearing a mask when doing interior carpet / mats lol

100%. They recommend not going above 90PSI. My guess is if its too high, it will blow out any gaskets they may have internally.

Be sure to blow it all in one direction. So if you need to push out the debris between seats, I would do the following:
    Pre-vacuum all the debris out.
Use the Tornador, and push it from the back to the front of the car.
    Vacuum again.
For any tough spots, hit the tornador straight up and down on it to get it out.

Maybe some cheap sun glasses or other eye protection pending how much dirt is pulled up. I had to take a step back multiple times yesterday due to the large dust clouds.

I’ve had one of those things for years, and barely used it. Only things I remember even using it on were cleaning around the “Tundra” letters on the side of the truck and cleaning some stains in the carpet in my house. It worked awesome for that.
I’d expected to use it a lot but never ended up doing an interior that was bad enough to warrant it, and pretty much forgot I had it.

TLDR: It’s an awesome product that works as advertised. Works even better when you use it.

I have a 6 and 9 year old so my vehicle or rather the wife's doesn't stay as clean as I'd like. I think this would help, plus the years of dirt and sand stuck in the carpet.

I have Husky mats in all of mine so the carpet is pretty much covered in all of them. I haven’t done a ton of other people’s cars over the last few years. My son in law got a used Tacoma a couple of months ago. The carpet and seats do need some attention in that so I’ll probably give it a run next time he brings it over.

I'm excited to give it a try. I figured use it once and really get the vehicles clean then hopefully be able to upkeep it and maintain it enough that I won't have to use it again but will have it just in case life gets in the way.

It’s good for carpets in the house also as long as you have a long enough hose or don’t mind the noise of bringing the compressor in the house. I don’t have carpet inside anymore but it was definitely helpful when I did.

They make grout pens. I have to do that in our kitchen. Don't ever get light colored tile and light colored grout a real PITA.

The house came with light colored grout and tile so I have to deal with it. I’m constantly scrubbing in the shower.

    What's the best drying towel?

Oh wait...what's the best "reasonably priced and readily available" drying towel?

I guess this sort of counts as a detailing purchase....it's something to detail!

Hopefully, you'll let me stick around with my enclosed "Tundra"

I personally like "The Gauntlet" through the rag company. Griot's also had their drying towel I use that I like

I also no longer have my tundra(s) and have a 2021 sequoia (can't keep the snake in my pants  )

    Gauntlet is my fave.
I like using CS3 (graphene) as a drying aid. You could also just use a quality exterior detailer as a drying aid
I use the air cannon first for wheels and trim before hitting everything else

The best....out of all the ones I've used....and I've used a LOT.....of the Griots PFM....they are on the pricey side, however

To me, The Gauntlet by The Rag Company is the best value out there in drying towels.....multiple sizes, reasonably priced....and they go on sale every now and then

This is why I have a Sequoia now, too.

I ordered a Chemical Guys as it was one of the cheaper ones that I saw, and I wasn't sure about the rag company. I'll check them out and keep an eye out for The Gauntlet.

When it comes to a drying towel for your vehicle, please do not go cheap. The cheap ones are likely to wear down quicker, easier to scratch the vehicle, and will not hold as much water thus needing to use multiple. The gauntlet can probably get 90% of the water on a tundra with one application

The Griots PFM is hands down the best on the market. They’re expensive, but you really just need one and they last years. One of them will easily dry a Tundra and/or a Sequoia, even without blowing them off first.

TRC’s offerings are all pretty top notch as well.
