I would pay $150/shipped for my fronts if I knew they'd last. I think a 3-5yr warranty would do it for me. I'm really curious to see how the '97 Hilux rear bumps work out for others. I'm less concerned about my rear than I am the fronts, though.

Interesting, I havent heard of people using '97 Hilux rear bumps. Are those considered better than our stock rear bumps?

Someone was talking about it in another thread this week. They look to be an inch taller?

It is mounted to the metal dash frame under the cluster to the left of the steering column. I didn't get a picture of the mounting. Once you pull the lower plastic piece under the steering column you will see the metal frame for the dash. I used 3 of the 4 mounting points on the 'unit' and secured it with a heavy duty zip tie, VHB tape and a nut and bolt. It's important the 'unit' is secured, but it doesn't matter how the 'unit' sits so that opens up a few options. I was surprised that the Tundra had fewer places to mount this under the dash than the Land Cruiser.

Been having condensation in my front driver side blinker. Popped it out and cleaned out these little rubber u turn breather guys - no clue what they’re actually called. They were plugged up with dust. They had some ancient foam in them that dissolved when I cleaned it with water. Put ‘em back on and we’ll see if it works. Can’t remember who gave me this tip - maybe @VR6T or @FishNinja.

I used a shoestring threaded behind the housing to pop it out. Worked really well.IMG_1354.jpg

Finished up the steering rack job and put the truck back in action. Ordered the steering coupler from Ourisman, took a ski trip, and put everything back together this week.

Me either! I’ve got plenty of condensation in my turn signal housing. The dealership probably sold me subpar blinker fluid.

today I replaced my pcv valve on my 05. The old one still worked fine I found out. But, With crust like this on the valve, what can I expect the inside to look like??? Or, has anyone pulled one of these out that looked good? I don’t know how to gauge this. IMG_2363.jpg

I think over time they all end up looking like that, at least from my experience. It does remind me that I need to stop putting off a seafoam treatment lol

I backed into a tree last week with my tailgate down and banged it up, still works, but now I have one more thing to replace. Took the white topper off of my gold 2wd and swapped it onto my white 4wd. IMG_2366.jpg IMG_2264.jpg

I did something similar by backing into a loading dock with my tailgate town. Thankfully it only scraped the paint.

I hate when that shit happens.

Seems like it would be hard to hammer it upwards. Almost need a way to pull that dent.

I have from harbor freight that works well for dents that don't have good access.

A tailgate at the local yard is only $83 though. You would be time and money ahead to just find a replacement.

I mean, if you really want to know what it looks like in the VC, snake camera in thru the fill tube. If you can't manage via the tube, I think the fill tube only has two bolts holding it in?

That's what I was looking at, I put a straight bar behind the face and pulled upwards to get the right distance for the latch to release the gate, so at least my handle works fine now. But the top is so smushed that the paint all popped off. The bottom hinge point was on its way out anyway so I am going to replace it. Found a matching white one without a handle for $100, and it has good plastic on the hinge.

Yeah, you can't be gentle enough with those little normally-white-but-now-beige fuckers. Half mine broke on exit, on one side. Same with the black posts that snap into the tophats holding the cowl down. Yeesh.

Hopefully that was ammonia-free silicone (for corrosion reasons)
