I bought a hard tri-fold cover for my 2017 shortbed. The guy I bought it from said it was factory supplied on his 2018. Having looked closely at it and others, I can tell it's made by BAK flip. Either an MX2 or MX4. I even bought a replacement "front corner cover" from BAK, and it fits for the one that I'm missing.
But the rearmost plastic hinge is splitting, and it's about halfway across now.
I've looked for BAK flip parts online, and in Toyota catalogs online, and I can't find it. I did order something from Toyota that's 5 feet long and called a "hinge cover", and I really thought that would be it. But it's not even a part from this product. It must be from some other kind of cover.
Did Toyota offer an unbranded Bak Flip product as a factory option? Does anyone know where to buy a replacement hinge, either from Toyota or BAK?

It is my understanding many Toyota OEM covers are indeed BAK.
I'd contact BAK and see if they can help you.
There are posts on the forum saying they have pretty good customer service..

Maybe post a pic here of what's going on and someone can help more..

From what I've read the Toyota tonneaus are in fact made by BAK.

But... often when the big OEM's have items made/rebranded for them, they're not made to the same specs.

    Maybe reach out to @SantanaRealtruck

Bak has pretty good customer service. I’d send them pictures of what you need. They can identify if it’s their cover and which piece you need.

They were an absolute pain in the ass to deal with for a warranty issue I had on my cover. They wouldn't do any warranty work without a receipt, which I did not have because it was installed at the dealer when the truck was new. So I was left with no recourse at all and no support from Bak.
