catalytic converter Cover from Toyota dealership

    3” lift, black step bars, aftermarket wheels, LT305/55R20 was this way when I brought it.
    How good is the catalytic converter cover the Toyota dealership is offering for sale and installation $499 total

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    Depending on the dealer it may be a toyota part or something aftermarket. Have a pic or part number? Main thing with any of them is good coverage, some do not cover all the cats.

    Mine was from Talons a fabricator in Houston, I called and asked him about pickup and he said they didn't have any but had just sent 20+ to surrounding area dealers. I do not think the one they are selling you is a OEM Toyota part but rather provided by a fabricator locally. Mines well made, 10ga steel and powder coated. I'd ask your dealer who makes them.

    That being said I paid $250, picked up from dealer, and installed myself. They're still $250 on Talons website.

    IMO $250 for install is high. Id save the money and install it yourself if you're able. It's pretty easy.
