Son of a B… not sure how this “stuff” got in there. IMG_1141.jpg
Looks like I’m going to need to pull the light and use some type of tiny pipe cleaner or something.

So no clue how this “debris” got inside the light. Guessing through the cutout near the middle of the light on the tailgate side. The plastic closest to this shit seems sealed pretty well.
Anyone got any ideas on how to get it out?

Does anyone know the warranty period on these. After noticing one of mine about to fall of driving down the road, I looked into it and found the tabs broken. This is absolutely unacceptable for $650 after only 1 year.

I believe its 5 years so you should be good. Like others have said it looks like they made some modifications to the design flaw that caused this to happen.

Any update to your situation? I was driving around town today with some family following and they noticed my drivers side tail light was flapping around. The inner tabs with fasteners both broke off. My car has only driven around 4k miles with these tail lights on and I bought them when they first came out. I haven’t even gone off road with these tail lights or do anything extreme. I’m pretty bummed but hopefully morimoto takes care of me…

Who did you buy them from? I would contact them and tell them you want replacements. I got my replacements end of august or first of September. The replacements are made different. Make a claim asap.I bought mint from headlight Revolution, I contacted them and Morimoto directly. You will see that other people have had this problem also.

You’ll be good. Just contact Morimoto directly. It’s a known problem hence why they redesigned the mounting tabs. All those that had the same issue including myself were taken care of.

Got off the phone with morimoto/headlight revolution not too long ago and it sounds like I’m being taken care of. I even asked if they could send me the red version instead and they were fine with it. I wanted the red versions initially but the black ones came out first and I was impatient.

Thanks! Yeah I preferred the all red from the start because they looked more stealth in a sense.
