My '24 has the JBL system, but like many there are rattles even on low volume with bass. I have removed the felt pads in the door trays and it helped a little. I also have to put my hand on the side mirror selector to prevent vibrations. I had intended to take it to a stereo shop and put more powerful speakers in it as well as an amp. However, I think that would just make me even more frustrated that I have rattles and spent additional money on audio. My most recent vehicle was a Lexus GX with Mark Levinson and I never had a single rattle with the stereo. I was wondering if I just have a lemon stereo or if this is an issue with most.

I have rattle as well when my base hits and I have the bass set to the half mark. JBL is good, it's just the deadening material they skimpped on.

Check the plastic plate behind the interior door handle. When the music is playing and you hear the rattle push your finger against it behind the lever to see if that will stop the rattle. You can pop that piece out.. I haven’t messed with it to figure out a permanent solution. That’s where most of the rattle was coming from but there is still a bunch of other places like my headliner. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately I didn't get anywhere with this and fixing it. If I put my hand over the knob that controls the side mirrors, some of the rattle will go away. It is frustrating. I was driving my daughter's 21 4Runner the other day and there were 0 rattles with the stereo. I guess that is why having a "J" in the Vin number actually means something.

My son has a '21 Bronco and it has been to the dealership 3 times because the subwoofer rattles so bad in that thing that it sounds like all the plastic is loose. So, I guess it could be worse.

If you have the money, any decent car audio shop should be able to test and isolate rattles and use a mix of sound deadener, tesa tape, CCF, butyl rope etc. to negate those pesky rattles. Materials wise it shouldn't cost an arm and a leg but labor wise it might be fairly involved. It's also something that would be very DIY-able. I'm sure that's not the answer you're looking for but some vehicles and generations are unfortunately rattle prone which seems to be the case with your Tundra :/

    Hello all,
My vehicle doesn’t have the JbL speakers but I to have that rattle on the passenger/ driver side door. I have taken the vehicle 3 times to dealer and now getting Toyota corporate involved. The first time the dealership said they couldn’t replicate the noise. The second time we were able to replicate the noise but then test drove a trd pro with JBL was worse than my truck. They said it’s normal movement of the car. The third time they said it is from the base of the music is high. However the base I have it on minus -1 or -2. Now I’m waiting for Toyota corporate to get back to me.
