I discovered today that I have a shock leaking. I have had the Eibach stage one shocks installed for about 2.5 years and 40k miles. Eibach says there is a limited lifetime warranty for “factory defects in materials and workmanship”. Anyone know if a leak would be covered? Is it worth the hassle? Or is this just the opportunity to upgrade, even though it wasn’t in my short term plan (or budget).

Wear is most likely not covered. Are those shocks rebuildable?

They aren’t terribly expensive brand new, so assuming no.

    Yeah, probably not.

Thinking of moving up to a rebuildable shock?

I just did the same. This would have been the 4th set of shocks on my truck (factory ranchos, two sets of Bilsteins) and had I just purchased some quality rebuildables...money ahead. That is only part of it. Due to shocks wearing out, how many set of tires wore early due to crappy performance? Oddly enough, I am also on my 4th or 5th set of tires.

Another bonus is I will take these performance shocks with me to the next truck.

I have almost 103K miles on my 3500HD.
