I recently bought a 2015 tundra from a dealership. The previous owner seemed to be super meticulous about getting it serviced every 5k miles. However I do not know for certain that the transmission was done at 60k. I’ve put about 20k miles on it and is now sitting at just a hair under 130k. I tow pretty consistently and have no issues with the transmission, and everything feels solid.

Should I just do a drain and fill? Should I drop the pan/filter?
Or should I just let it ride?

    Thanks!

Drain & Fill, repeat every 60K. Leave the pan and filter alone !

I’ve read of stories about guys stripping out or breaking off transmission pan bolts. So, ditto on what Bammer said. You break off or strip out a bolt and you’ve got a real headache.
Keep in mind the pan only holds about 1/6th the total fluid in the system. My ‘21 came from the factory stating the system holds 12.2qts overall. The pan holds 2.2qts. It’s nearly all in the torque converter at any giving time.

I do at least 5 d&f’s over a 3-5 day period. That’s just me and my way.

I like to do the D&F about every 30k, did the pan and filter at 30k, clean as a whistle, probably only found D&F’s moving forward. About 5 QTs every 30k and you are good to go
