I am in the camp of they are over rated. But that said, they are in my top 3 for places to eat on the fly (and not get out of the truck).

I agree. I've had both, and I know they are supposedly the same, but Carl's is better.

 

not only do I agree, but Hardees made it worse by taking onion rings off the menu. nope, dead to me now

 

Never had JitB... or been on a bender. I'd have to defer to your expertise on that one.

 

I have never even heard of them... but if I need Tacos, it is the bell for me. Lets not church this up, just drop the goods and enjoy the bite lol

I don't eat fast food. My girls prefer Chick-fil-A if I let them have it. I'd rather shove a taco truck meal in my face if I'm looking for something quick.

I get that there is a cult following with what's that burger. And you're right, they are a step ahead of McDaniels, but I'm just not impressed. Same with in-and-out. I laugh about it when y'all start arguing over which fast food is good. None are in my opinion.

 

I knew you'd come in and really throw down. You never fail us. What's the rumor we heard growing up? That Jack in the box served us kangaroo meat in their tacos.

 

I love just about everything you said.

for me it is about not eating them, but some times the occasion calls for it, especially with how much I travel. Havent had BK in over 5 years, Mc in over 13, and then the rest of them I just straight up havent eaten unless it is a rare one off. The exceptions are, in order:
1. WhataBurger or Chik Fa Lay - region dependent.
2. Wendys
3. Taco bell

If it isnt in that list, or the super rare Carls Junior when I am west, then i just dont eat it.

I try to pack or hit healthier options.

How many of you remember the Taco Bell scandal?

After that movie came out about McDonalds, a study was done and found that Taco Bell was the healthiest fast food option in the market. they hated that finding and started their late night campaign to regain their post drinking demographic lol

 

I love in and out. Although I'm not very familiar with the works of the "out" part

Tried it in Idaho, in college once. never went back after that LOL.. So... 20 years ago, almost to the month LOL

 

Other people can eat a bag of deer dongs. I tear up some of the bell's food

 

The amount of time I have spent with their food in my mouth is borderline concerning hahaha. I used to get sick like they say, but still ate it. One day i stopped using their sauce and i didnt have an issue. Since i did that, I havent had a problem.

Hell, on the way home from the hospital my fam needed food. CFA for the parents, TB for us. Got the misses beans and cheese (non solid diet) and I crushed the 3 pack

 

If I'm on a road trip I pack lunches and snacks. Not just for cost savings but we can eat healthier. And in usually a quicker time frame without stopping. I'll have one of the kids reach through the back window and grab what ever they need from the cooler staged right there. Which leads me to my only gripe about the 2nd Gen and up tundras. Why do only the crew max get the limo window? I sure miss that access from my first Gen days.
