Hoping somebody has run into this. My battery has been sporadically dying. Doesn’t do it continuously. Today it happened again after 2 months with no problems. While jump starting it, the starter kept cranking after I stopped turning the key. Does this sound like an ignition switch to anybody else? Guess improper positioning when removing keys could maybe cause the battery to drain?

It's called Crank to Start, the ECU continues to turn the engine over either until it starts or something like 10 seconds elapses (feels like forever though).

I got this same issue too, but I'm having an issue with the immobilizer recognizing my keys... May need toremove it's power source.

Not sure if a solution has been fou d for this, but I've had an additional encounter with this 80 miles from home. As it refused to start, 5 tries and it would not go. I popped the hood and wiggled the ground wire a bit and the starter began turning over the 5 tries I did, slight pauses in between but has started. Odds are its the grou d wire either corroding or starting to fail. All other power was uninterrupted.
