It’s certainly possible, we need someone with the time/money to work on it. Someone who doesn’t mind buying the locking diff and the others stuff and spending the time to make it happen :). Someone with a friend who works at Toyota.

I've been lurking for awhile but if I had this mts dial, id test it out on back roads/alley ways which are typically gravel. But I'd do all this while using something like torque pro app to monitor the engine/trans specs/performance in real time. Then compare with normal. Also for those who didn't know, you get different mts options if you are in 4h vs 4L. From my research it just manipulates the abs + power depending on terrain. Like on rocks you dont want any wheel slippage. Maybe someone can find a gravel lot/road and floor it in rock mode 4h with truck set at power rather eco. Then repeat that test without the mts on, you should see a difference immediately. Please let us know! Maybe someone can test drive a truck without a ride along and compare this at the same location as you just tested. The mud/sand mode should allow the most slippage because your tires slip while moving the vehicle. Maybe try mud mode on very loose gravel, see the results compared to abs/vsc off and in just standard 4h

Also if anyone has bought the upgraded dial with mts and want to sell it, dm me. My dealer wants $175 and I was trying to get a deal

I have been following this thread for months and am just looking for someone who has bought the new dial. Did just changing the dial give you access to the trial camera? The ones that show “under” the truck, and where your wheels are.
I had them with my 23 Tundra limited TRD Off-road but my wife and I are expecting our 4th kid in the next few months so I traded it out for a 23 Sequoia Platinum (before they began offering the Off-road package upgrade option)
Anyone who has made the dial change when able could you show images of your camera array. It would be greatly appreciated

When you installed the computer did you get activation of the multi terrain cameras?

Only the pro has said cameras… so if you don’t have the cameras they’re not there to activate.

Are there actually extra cameras or are they just building what it looks like below the truck? Sort of like what the over top view does...it just pieces together the picture from all the views.

I had them on my limited TRD off road. So I was seeing if changing the computer gave access to those cameras.

Could be some secret menu in the infotainment screen to turn the MTM on?

I tried that already, thinking that's where it would be but not such option available in the menu that I found unless there are more hidden menu's.
It's funny to me that my wife's pavement princess Grand Highlander will do it (and has all the multi terrain options too) but my truck won't do it.
It's not super useful and I don't really care, but it's not a cost to Toyota to turn it on either so don't know why they hold out on some models.

Yeah seems weird since if you plug in the new control it opens the menu for other stuff on the dash.

Looks like Toyota is offering 25% off all parts and accessories. At my local dealer, the switch comes out to 135 plus tax. Tempted just to eliminate the two blank switches on my 2024 Limited.

Let us know how it goes lol. I wish it did something other than give you extra modes on the dash.

Hmm.... I think I am not going to do that switch after all. Took the small side panel off hoping I could get access to the switch just from that one opening that is visible with the panel removed. I tried to pry the 2H/4H/4L switch off first and I just do not have in me to try hard enough to get it to pop. Having the aftermarket gear shift panel trim cover is also not helping. And I am most certainly too scared to do the entire front console removal as pictured in the video on the first page. Ugh.. that's ok. Decided instead to pull a trigger on the TDR Exhaust on sale for 'only' $240.

What is the difference between the regular exhaust and the TRD pro?

I have a 2023 Limited 4x4 Gas, installed the new switch with MTS and Crawl. Neither MTS or Crawl light up for me in 4x4 modes. Drive mode and Tow mode still turn on and work as normal. Anyone know what I am missing? It doesn't seem to work for MTS on Limited Gas models?

Not really possible to make it work thru the usual channels. I replace the computer as well and my guy at Toyota tried to make it work with no success.

The moment you connect the truck to the main data at Toyota, they read your vin and the only thing you can update is only what they installed originally or what they allow you.

I don't think it's possible on 2023 Tundra Limited Gas. Not sure about Hybrid. I can't get it to work.

Does swapping the mode dial void any warranties?

Did all hope get lost on this tread? I have 23 Platinum non-TRD and debating adding the MTS control switch.

Has anyone confirmed that the other modes (Minus Crawl) work, like the snow mode? Last I read we were awaiting verification for someone to actually try some of the modes out.

I have a 2023 Platinum Hybrid non TRD. I purchased a Drive Module Switch with MTS, and installed it. Everything works perfectly except for the Crawl Control, but that was expected. I tested it in a field, and I do notice a different with the different selections. The truck works a lot better with it. If you're unsure how to install it, there's a guy on YouTube that can help. Enjoy
