That I didn’t know. I got it as a gift from a friend whose mother never used it. I’ve been very happy with it.

Those two plastic bits remind me of the Saab 99 (1/2 a Triumph) motors. If the unobtanium water pump didn't force retirement it was those stupid plastic (fuel IIRC) lines that eventually crumbled to dust. There was some reason replacing with rubber hose wasn't a solution.
Anyway, those two plastic funnels in your shot reminded me of those tired Saab/Triumph plastic bits. Just saying if the part is anything necessary grab some while you can. (I don't recall my 2003 V8 having those, but you've a different motor.)

The built in safety regulator sucks!!!!
Very little output which then takes forever to heat up.

Sounds like you had a faulty unit. I’d just crank the gas and ignite it after thirty seconds with the lid closed. 5 minute warm up at 1/2 output to heat up the grill and another 10 minutes to cook.

Yeah we’ve even replaced the regulator/flame control and still the same thing, super annoying. Maybe I need to binford5000 it like I did my dads, drilled out the orifice a little bit

I wonder if this was your issue. I wouldn’t have experienced it since I’ve been using the 14oz bottles and only attaching when used.

    From the megathread:

My question: I’m almost certain the answer is yes, but can I upgrade to 13WL calipers with my OEM 16” starfish wheels without the calipers rubbing the inside of the wheel? I know the 16” starfish continued to come on the later, mid-2003 and up trucks with the bigger, 13WL calipers, so…..yes, right?

I can't say for certain, because both mine came with 17" limited wheels. However I currently have aftermarket 16" wheels on my 06. So I want to say "yes".

Good to know. In my digging, I see some guys have 16s and the 13WLs, but they’re all aftermarket 16” wheels (like @des2mtn). Couldn't find a good clear answer/picture of someone with the starfish+13WL combo….

Pretty sure PHM was rocking 13WL's with his starfish wheels. I'm sure it can be done.

In fact, bmf4609 only installed spacers because he didn’t like the fitment of his tires against the wheel arch moldings. He too has WL and starfish

I recently picked up TRD Baja wheels 16x7.5. I was curious if anyone was familiar with this style of ring. They are authentic Toyota wheels.
