I'm irritated as hell right now.

I am wanting to do mods this weekend, but I have no garage and the Auto Hobby Shop on base has the CRAPPIEST hours EVER! Why would you be closed on days when people would be able to come to your establishment (ie days off) & be open during the week during base working hours when the people who use the hobby shop ARE WORKING and can't use your facility?!

All I want to do it play with tools & paint this weekend.

Now I have to go buy tools and figure out how to hide from the wind and all the crap in the air to do what I want to this weekend.:(

I'm sure someone would accommodate you to use their tools and facility in exchange of beer!

would be nice, but i don't know anyone who has either other than my ex (I would rather jump off a cliff than ask him for anything). I've only talked to TundraTex about the FRAC and I've never met any other DFW Tundra owners.

That sucks angel. There is nothing worse than wanting to do something and not being able to do it. And I agree with the Hobby Shop hours that is asinine !!!!

I don't even live on base. But the hobby shop is supposed to be available for military members to use to work on their vehicles. they are open Tuesday-Friday from 0800-1800 (8am-6pm for you civilians;)) and Saturday open until 1700. I work during the week during the times they are open. and Saturdays are next to impossible unless I want to let my girls down and not show up to their games. I won't be that parent.

I think I was one of a handful that used it religiously when I had my old toyota. Hours were much better back then. It was open 6 days a week and hours were better accommodating

Already bought tools :D I'll use them more than once so it's a good investment. The problem is where to do all the work now protected from nasty ass wind with dust and crap in it

Dangit that puts a damper on getting pics loaded in your build page. But the good news is if you start driving now you will be here by tomorrow and you are more then welcome to use my tools and garage.

No, I don't live on base....and definitely too high ranking to stay in the dorms.

I live off base but my house i rent doesn't have a garage because it was turned into a bedroom.

WTH......You never, ever, ever, ever, ever turn a garage into a bedroom!!!!! You can sleep in a garage or your truck or your front yard in a pinch, but you never ever take away garage space for any reason whatsoever!

Had the same problem when I was doing a fiberglass front spoiler on my last car. It was winter, cold with lots of wind gusts. I bought a cheap tent, threw a heater near the door, grabbed a respirator and went to town. Red neck paint booth. Just a thought. Maybe 50 bucks at FullSizeR.jpg wally world...
