It's been a bit, but it does happen. I've actually seen snow in every month of the year, except in August. I missed that one because it happened the August I moved to AZ for a winter. We're in the Rockies. Snow is possible any time.

Not a myth. You're looking at it wrong.
It's not a sq footage per Capita thing.
    Look at it like this:
You hate people, crowds, noise, etc.
You go to a house party where the certificate of occupancy for the home is 300 people. There's 250 people there, but it's basically still elbow to elbow, noisy, the place is getting trashed, etc.
I don't like people in general. Most of the 8 billion of them don't justify their existence. They consume, waste and poison.
    That's not myth.

And if you consider the actual amount of acreage it takes to feed and produce consumables for each individual, including the amount of forest that has to be converted to farmland and lumber, etc.....i feel more than comfortable saying that 8 billion is TOO many humans for a planet this size.

People choose to live on top of each other in a city. That's not a population problem, that's a stupidity problem. Same for not "justifying existence" as that is purely subjective. Get rid of warning signs, make the safety nets short term so you have to get on your own two feet and let them carry a stigma again, and quit coddling people and saying their feelings matter more than reality.

Look at it this way, if everyone was helpful, productive, constructive, and "justifying" their existence, would we be overpopulated at our current number? No. We'd be just fine. The problem isn't the number of people, it's the low quality.

The way we do it is poor management. Again, stupid is the problem, not the population. We waste too much.

    42, windy and a light on/off drizzle.
Oil is overdue and I don't have a covered spot to pull the truck in at this shit hole.
What are the odds that I just bitch about it all day as opposed to just suckin it up and gittin it done?

Any kind of a shop rental place you can rent a bay in?

Do you have a storage unit you can pull the front of the truck into and be out of the weather?

An EZ-up you could use, or possibly tarps? Not great in the wind, but possible.

The new house has a garage I could pull the truck halfway into.
But that would involve me getting up and driving 30 min.
    Too hard.

Locally in town, we only had maybe 1-2". It covered yards and cars, but its been too warm to accumulate on the roads.
