Did my first oil change and installed all the recommended fittings and changed the oil to 5W-30(big thanks to @Ruggybuggy @Chad D. some great tips and steered me the right way). Noticed that the boot to the AFE CAI boot was jacked and tore all up. I figured it was the dealer when i had them replace the PCV valve, they just left it off and had all that debris go in my intake from the boot. I ordered a kit from the AFE website and hope it comes soon, cant event start the truck without it. https://afepower.com/afe-power-59-81174-magnum-force-cold-air-intake-system-spare-parts PXL_20240418_195500241.jpg PXL_20240418_195608386.jpg PXL_20240419_184027705.jpg

Here's mine mostly finished up. Ironman front bumper, Toyota OEM LEDs, scs f5s, 35x12.5 Firestone destination xt, diode dynamics lights in bumper/grill/rock lights, dobinsons snorkel, ceramic tint all around, bilstien 6112/5160s, jba uca, rear toytec lift shackles, color matched front grill surround and rear bumper, dasaita radio, all new sound system with sound deadening on roof doors and rear cab.
Only thing left to check off on my list is sliders. May decide to go with a different bed cover down the road but the soft truxedo I have is doing well so far.
I picked this truck up used in November and have been adding parts since then. Truck had 112k on it when I got it, went ahead and changed all the fluids as well. Only thing left maintenance wise is spark plugs.

First oil change since I bought it used in August. 5K OCI, Pennzoil platinum 0w20, OEM filter and went rouge and installed a Valve-o-Max, instead of a MotivX!

Interesting. I had a 2011 Sequoia I drove from 0 to 115k miles before I sold it. Always used Mobil 1 0W20 every 5k miles and never had an issue. Never burned oil.

That’s actually the brand I was going to purchase, had them on my last truck and loved them. They were good to me and shipping was fast. Got the page pulled up on my browser, just waiting to set some more money aside for them lol.

Shot the intake tube with some steelit and fitted the reducer to check fitment. Just waiting on final few pieces before throwing this 5” tube LS103 in.

Tundra owners: I’ve seen a few 2nd Gen Tundras with all types of headache racks, chase rack, sport bars, bed racks, etc., but this is something new to the market. This bed rack is designed to haul bikes, moto, kayaks, ski/snowboards, and lumber. Made by a company called Boundry, in Spanish Fork, Utah.

No rounded metal tubes, which looks sleek and simple. The molle panel can hold a Rotopax on both sides.

Top cross bar is a T-Track system design. Definitely can mount light bars.

    Comments, feedbacks, opinion.
Wanna see it on a Gen 2 Tundra?

Yeah, it’s definitely not difficult to grab a socket wrench and remove the drain bolt, but I am looking forward to the the next oil change being a little easier. I’m still debating getting a MotivX housing wrench.

Anyone have a good torque wrench recommendation? My cheap one just quit on me. Looking to start doing my own tire rotations. Any suggestions are well appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Torin that goes up to 150 ft lbs I believe. Got it from Walmart of all places. I’ve used it for tire rotations every 3-5k miles since 2017.

I also just did a job on my truck that required a 250-lb torque wrench, so I got a Husky from Home Depot. I’m sure there are better ones out there, but I needed it in a hurry. No complaints so far.

I don't know what damage the dealership might have done, but that boot material has deteriorated drastically. How old is it?

I got the AFE installed about 3 years ago, but i live in a pretty tame climate so it cant be a variation of cold and hot weather. Also, i put in an order with the company but have not heard anything back from them since yesterday morning. If anyone has any info on https://afepower.com/ or a vendor, for them have have they sold their company to some automated system?

Thanks. Yea I don’t want to break the bank but I also want something reliable. I sound like Goldilocks haha. A Tekton one I’m seeing is like $35-40 and comes with a case. My cheap one didn’t even have a case. Also looking at a CDI for $187. I’d rather not spend that much.

Now that I look it up and see that it was only $30, I wonder how accurate the Torin is :monocle:

Never had any problems with it, but maybe I’ll invest in a nicer one.

Even if it’s off by 5-10%, it sure beats an air tool jockey at a dealership just GFT-ing the snot out of everything.
