just gotta add; don't forget to clock them before pressing them in. Solid poly bushings wont matter but OEM or aftermarket copies have an intended orientation. Mine are not clocked correctly, and although it hasn't caused me any problems (yet), it's not right, and if/when they fail prematurely, I won't wonder why. Learned about the orientation thing AFTER
i pressed them in when I was lookin up torq. specs.

My dude carries quite a bit of Mr. E. he stopped carrying a few i really liked like apples to oranges and pluto. We'd mix 1/2 jade and 1/2 Pluto and call it judo. Good shit. I'll see if he has any of that Strudel. When I come in him and his wife don't even ask if I wanna see the new flavors.

 

Can anyone tell me if this is stock, or a diff drop spacer? First time looking under a 4wd Tundra.

 

IDK since I don't have an 05 but that fill plug on the diff needs to be cleaned out.

 

That's definitely a diff drop spacer.

 

What are they charging you for labor to press your new bearings in?

 

I don't know yet. I trust this shop. I just dropped the parts off yesterday. Dude wasnt there to talk to me.

 

I gave my seatbelts the ole PHM treatment today. I've never actually cleaned them. We'll see how they act after everything dries this afternoon.

 

You can make a lot of improvement just by hitting the plastic ring with PB Silicone spray. They zip right on up after, if you can keep the belt off the sliding surface long enough for the silicone spray to dry.

 

Good reminder, dudes, my driver belt is like a big wet lasagna noodle lately.

 

I didn't even know this was a thing. Wet noodle is definitely a good description for mine as well. I'll have to look up this PHM seatbelt cleaning...

Scored a scAmazon warehouse deal on a knock off 2nd gen swing case.

I opted for the passenger side to help counteract the "Toyota Lean" towards the drivers side. The only mod I did was to flatten out the latch support some so that it would meet the bump in the bedside of my DC. I did have to remove the tie down loop in the corner as it made contact with the box. I will have to find an alternative since I do use the bed to haul things.


The upper hole of the latch support isn't flush to the bump on the bedside, so I'd like to devise a spacer where the missing fastener is.


The box sits nice and level.


I have two tool rolls, a recovery strap, d-rings and tie downs in here.

I'm not looking to dispute anything PHM said, just adding to it. If your seatbelts aren't filthy, you don't need to clean them to get it sliding smoothly, all you need to do is silicone-spray-up the slide ring.

I specifically use either of these products, which may be the same as PHM shows, I've had these cans for probably 10-20 years and have used them for belt stuff (treadmill, seat belt, any time a belt needs to slide across metal or plastic).

I was overdue myself on a re-treat, so I took pics when I did it just now, this is how I'm doing. Those sprays are specifically go-to for lubricating things that needs other stuff to slide over, and it'll dry to the touch perfectly clear if you give it time. Makes everything shiny. We used it for detailing before IASCA events, which is the first time I ever came across the stuff. I believe the can on the right above may be one of the original cans from way back when? I had a gaggle of them that ended up in my cars while working at the shop.

I take the seat belt, pull it out, loop both ends around the headrest to keep them up and out of the way like this, then clean any gunk off that may be jamming things up.

Then spray a light coating of silicone spray over this entire area as you see below ... rub it all over with a finger, let it soak for 60 seconds, then unwrap the belt and slide it back and forth thru the ring. It won't improve your seat belt appearance, but it will drastically improve how good it slides through the ring. Not talking out of my ass here, I just did it, and the seat belt ZZZZZOOOOOPPPs right up, 3x-4x faster than it was. And I did a piss poor job of cleaning the gunk off it.
