    Note they make 'em in all different colors, like, for amber turn signals, the part number ends in "A" (and also "R" for Red, "B" for Blue, no letter for white), i.e. for amber corners, it's these: https://www.sylvania-automotive.com/sylvania-3157a-amber-zevo-led-mini-2-pack/3157ALED.BP2.html

    Only the ZEVO branded ones have the lifetime warranty, though.

    Hopefully you gave the paint time to off-gas and cure before hitting it with fluid film?

    Ditto. But I completely forgot Mark Harmon played the teacher. I'm so accustomed to seeing him in NCIS. Talk about a dude who aged well...

    funny because it’s not worth it to tackle them? Believe me I hate dealing with bushings but if my control arms are otherwise in perfect shape idk why I’d need new ones just because the replaceable bushings need to be changed. I know the job sucks but trying to get a feel for what others have done. Also prices vary wildly for new arms so I don’t even know what they normally run from a reputable retailer.

    Buy new OEM ones, get Siberian bushings, install new OEM arms, install Siberian bushings in old ones, now you have a spare for next time.

    You just need to ship to a family member and have them re-ship to you, or carry it over.

    Now prices are down as low as they are, I've been considering buying one to use with my new-to-me shell, try and get some of the funk out of the carpet. It's definitely got a funk to it, not dissimilar from old shoes, not stinky old shoes, just ... old, worn shoes.

    I'm worried about the water supply and cost of living. They will ruin the best part of the state so fast. Its already in turmoil as is. Austin is out of control thanks to the rich Californians buying up houses for way too much money and further inflating the market. Texans won't be able to afford to live in their home towns in the area soon. It's already happening to millennials. Mean while Georgetown is running out of water and the rivers across the hill country are drying up, as it becomes the next desert.

    I had the same experience for the most part. I ended up giving the driver's side two whacks with a rubber mallet.

    I believe @empty_lord has mentioned the Napa arms being a good replacement. They've got 20% off right now so a pair is about $350.

    I'm kinda with you. I did the LCA bushings on my Tacoma. Yeah, they were a pain to get out. Most of the pain was assuming I could get them out with heating and a bottle jack. Took a long time trying before realizing it wasn't working. By the time I moved on to the other side, I just used a sawsall and they were out in minutes. Not sure, unless you're "upgrading" to aftermarket anyway, why you'd replace perfectly good control arms.

    Now with the uppers...given the extra hassle of replacing upper ball joints, and add to that control arm bushings...if you could find a good deal on new upper control arms with the bushings installed and just worry about installing new ball joints (or figure OEM isn't quite as important with uppers and get UCA with everything already installed) and skip the hassle of removing the old ones, that's starting to lean toward worth it to me. But as you can see from the responses, everyone draws that "is it worth it" line in a slightly different place.

    For me, there were far worse jobs than getting the LCA bushings out. I don't dread the thought of doing it again. Once you're to the point of getting the bushings out, you've got the control arm out, secured in a vice, free to stand up straight and get to work. And it's not like bearings where you might need a specialty tool and giant press. Just hacking and sawing and maybe a little torching.

    My OEM bushings lasted 21 years.

    @KTM_AJ421

    Make sure you don't torque those cam bolts until the truck is lowered off jack stands back at ride height. If you don't the bushings won't last long.
