Replacing LED turn signal bulb AGAIN. The pins on these things suck. These are the "allah" brand on Amazon.

Look, I just go and bought Sylvania and forget about it. Lifetime guarantee on the “ZEVO” brand ones. And they’re not polarized for the ZEVO ones. I have yet to have one even die. Just stop buying the cheap no-name shit, and move one

waiting for my coupler from McGeorge so I can drive my truck, glad it’s not a daily. Did more rust mitigation yesterday since it’s on jackstands anyway. Wire wheel, primer, paint, and 2 cans of fluid film down.

Anyone here tackled control arm bushings? I noticed after doing the steering rack bushings that my LCA bushings seem to be dry rotted and cracked. I’ve read most people recommend new control arms but that sounds much more expensive and it seems 50/50 whether new control arms come with bushings installed anyway. My LCAs have zero corrosion btw.

Whatever you buy, stay the F away from Mevotech. You'd be lucky if you got 2 years out of them before the bushings began to tear.

I've never heard anyone say new arms don't include new bushings. Mine certainly did. When I ran the numbers it wasn't that much more to get new arms. When it comes to replacing just the bushings responses ranged from "not too bad" to "horrible". One person bent their control arm trying to push out the old bushing with a bottle jack.

I waited until one of the sales and ordered new LCA's for 20% off. Make sure you buy the cam sleeves too.

You can try Siberian bushings if you can find them. Some people have gone that route.

When the time comes, I'm buying the whole LCA with bushings. Pressing those factory bushings out appear to be a source of much frustration. I'll just do a straight swap and spend those hours somewhere else. I wish they made the front spindle with bearing available and at a reasonable price.
