I recently bought a 2024 SR5 with the TRD Offroad and the upgraded audio. I have already found a lot of answers to my questions about the truck here, but I haven't found any for my latest one. When I am listening to music through CarPlay, the volume is much lower than if I am listening to regular radio or XM. Is there a setting in the truck I can adjust (other than the knob) to fix this? I know there isn't anything with the phone, so it would have to be in the truck. I already adjusted the Siri voice so I can hear texts when they come in, but nothing has seemed to work for the other issue. Thanks in advance!

I have the same situation in my 2020. Haven’t found a setting yet exploring the truck, but haven’t hit the search function on here for it either…

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! Mine does the same. What's more, if I am listening to a feed from my phone while using Waze, the Waze announcements are SUPER LOUD! I wish I could control that other by turning them off completely.

One thing I can say is that if you turn the “surround sound” setting off it sounds much better.
Other than that, straight radio or wired CarPlay will always sound better, regardless of any settings.

    On your iPhone…
    Settings
    Music
    Sound Check: turn this off.

if you do this while listening to music. You’ll immediate hear the difference.

I must’ve done this in the past, mine was already off. Still big volume jump between airplay and radio. 40 on airplay is like 20s from the radio in mine.

Yeah, I noticed that wireless CarPlay I always have to jack the volume for music way up. Whereas, if my phone is plugged in for CarPlay I do not have to turn the volume up so high - it is more normal.

So the conundrum is that by plugging the phone in, it charges ALL the time. I wish I had the ability to physically plug in for CarPlay without the phone charging.
