I am not arguing. I said it tows fine and can hold on a 8.5% downhill and that it out towed my old 5.7.

Stop taking every post as a personal attack. it’s just a different opinion to yours like many others

Yes, but only because it costs the same for me as 87. If I had to pay the ~$1/gal difference, I'd be using 87.

I mostly run non ethanol clear gas nowadays
Probably cost me 500-600 per year extra when gas is spendy

Sometimes it is a dollar more and sometimes it is only 10-20 cents more per gallon, compared to ethanol premium of course.

    38 gallon tank

I fuel up with Ethanol free 88 at Maverik.

Yup, 87 octane non-ethanol for me too, whenever I can get it. My truck runs smoother on the non-corn juice and gets slightly better mileage.

only non ethanol I can get is 91 or 92, I also use it in all small engines...that corn gas fucks up my chainsaws and small engines really quick.
not sure if there is 87 or 89 around

Tundra engine is worth top end gas at least in my situation, it is a business cost.

They just opened a Buc-ces here in N Colorado. Went there last night to fill up the wife’s Subaru. Noticed they have SEVERAL ethanol free pumps at 87 Octane for the same price as 91 Premium 10% cut. So I normally run 91, but with this scenario I am wondering if I will see any benefits by running that fuel in the Tundra, especially since they are they same price?

So 91 Octane 10% cut vs. 87 Octane pure gas?

87 with no corn all day for NA - if you weren’t in CO I’d probably want premium to forced induction but at your elevation I’d think you’re fine.

I am going to give the 87 pure a go on the next tank. Tank after that I will towing the camper to Wyoming so I will be going back to the 91 for that. See how it goes.
