I thought of you this afternoon. We went to the RV and boat show at AT&T stadium. It was a blast. The kids had so much fun being able to climb in and out and touch every thing they wanted to.

    ... and golden showers?

Hey, I'm about to post a picture from my phone. Anyone know what it is? I found it on the ground. It's about 6-7" wide, with two ~1.25" holes and a split on either side to pinch something. It's solid steel, and covered in grease. Looks almost like it could hold a heavy u-bolt in place or something, but there's so much grease.

I thought there was some annual service to be done on sprinkler systems? Bleeding out any moisture or something. Been such a very long time.

Yeah there is, your mainly testing tamper switches and flow switches tied into the fire panel, but that doesn’t always get rid of all the air

    It's meant for serious off-roaders.
If that's not your things, then OEM should be best for you.
Not to mention, the Solo LCAs too. Not sure if their uniball LBJs work with OEM LCAs.

Sounds like a poorly designed system….or just planned obsolescence.

I was curious about @Sunnier as well, but didn't want to tag - got the impression the plate was a little full of stuff.

@alb1k seems good, we were pinging back and forth last week.

And with that, off to start a fire!

Seems really easy to just attach tubing with a line attached to it running through the top of a lid into a container and submerged in brake fluid then opening nipple at caliper and pumping it out instead of backward into the abs.

Maybe should post this in the rear wheel bearing thread....Done a lot of reading and haven't concluded answer specific to bestgen Tundra about the claim of a new OEM axle seal redesign moving the seal lip inward toward the 3rd member, and hence an inner retainer flip recommended per Timmy @19:30 and @22:41 in his video:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVhSDnw2ugo

The axle housing seals (90310-50006) and the retainers (42423-20010) appear to be the same part numbers (as well as the o-rings and c-clips) on the axle he is working on (although the outer axle dust seals and bearings appear to be different part #s).

For at least certain VIN bestgen AC 4x4 4WD:

    90363-40068 Rear Axle/Wheel Bearing
90310-50006 Axle Housing Oil Seals (Type S Oil Seal)
    90301-88077 O-ring
90313-54001 Dust seal (Type K Oil Seal)
    42423-20010 Retainers (Bearing Spacer)
43517-35010 ABS Ring (Skid Control Rotor)
    90520-36045 C-clip

It seems most are installing the retainer in the OEM orientation and then grease or sharpie testing seal contact area and adjusting. But Timmy notes @ 24:07 a risk of installing the retainer too far outward and the retainer hitting the axle housing, and hence the suggested "flip" of the retainer to move more surface under the redesigned seal?

So for bestgen is the inner retainer recommended to be installed in the OEM orientation or flipped per Timmy his video?

So at work, I walk past the Firestone/Bridgestone next door several times per shift, and even when they are closed, the red strobes are going off through the garage door windows.
