Good on you. A lot of people would have just ghosted the guy.

50/50 seems more than fair to me, but I would talk to him directly. He may just tell you to eat a bag of dicks and you both learn a lesson from it. Or he's cool as a cucumber, or he's a raging lunatic. Speculating about it is just a waste of time.

I just went down a huge rabbit hole. This clip is from The whitest kids you know (some top tier sketch comedy) Timmy Williams in the clip is a dead on doppelgänger of David Mitchell. So much that for the last 15 years I thought it was only one person.

I'll have to check out peep show.

Edit: Well shit I'm wrong and even more confused. The clip is from Mitchell and Webb. Timmy Williams from WKUK is still a dead on copy though.

Yeah, That Mitchell and Webb Look is an awesome British sketch comedy. Those two guys are hilarious. Their first show, Peep Show, was a sitcom. Also really good.

I do love WKYK and Timmy is my favorite.

S'pose could pay up front then and trust to be treated kindly reciprocally later but not count on it.

Well I decided on 50/50 and messaged him offering to pay $350 for his lost time and half of his new windshield. We are still speculating on his response, which I will let everyone know once I get it, but in the mean time I can live with that and feel 80% confident I’m not a total baddie.

Man, my ole lady does this.... She starts thinking up shit and will get herself so mad over nothing, never saying a word, never asking a question, just running rampant with thoughts on her own and get herself so fookin mad and nobody has said anything to her. Shit from two years ago, or last week, just steaming in that crock pot she calls a brain bucket..... Yes the crock pot blows its lid occasionally even when i aint in the kitchen cookin.

It was the right call for sure because…
speculation is over and as JakeJake said
and he turned down the money. Real nice guy. I can’t tell if I feel worse or better about it, but nobody feels ripped off and that’s a win in my book.

I was really hoping to find a tri-fold, but found this rolling tonneau for a price too good to pass up. I haven't really had it long enough to see if it will suit my needs best but so far so good! Funny enough, the guy i bought it from was only selling it because he found a near new bakflip g2 for $100 at a local wrecking yard. Deal of the year!

I vote have a straight-up conversation with him & reach an agreement.
I think that's better than coming in with what he'll see as an ultimatum. "I've decided...."

edit, late to the party. Never mind. Send the guy a local brew 6 pack.

I plan to get mine replaced but not sure it would be covered because it’s not cracked, just leaking.
I was referring to @Bed Fundy and the sale gone south, dude had the windshield replaced for 5-700$…..

IIRC chips/cracks used to be covered but no longer in my policies for a while now. Best quote from trusted source in last few months was $335.

Depends on the state for that. Glass in PA is the same as your regular deductible.

Safelite is $320, $1400 if you want OEM glass.

    Wow that’s a big discrepancy.
I have Pilkington right now with one tiny crack and no noise. Probably should try to seal the crack.

It should be free. Last time I got a rock chip, my insurance didn't even bother asking how big the chip was. They just asked if I wanted it repaired or replaced. Since it was small I had it repaired, a week or so later I decided I didn't like it, called back and they replaced it, no charge either time

Haven't been on in awhile. The OVRLND CAMPERS was installed in late February! Absolutely love it. Super lightweight and strong for what it is. Sleeps 3 up top when popped up and 1 below on a diy bench we have.
