I was wondering how many of you gents and ladies have one of these installed on your truck. I had one installed the other day and notice a lot of bounce or flex when travelling down road. The grill is not loose...I rechecked bolts with impact gun. So I contacted ranch hand and they said with Tundra that is fairly normal. That and that the bolts losen up. Now if that is the case why haven't they tried to correct problem?

I just bought a 2017 Tundra and on my previous truck, I had a Go Rhino Wranglerguard grill bars on it. When I got mu current truck I went to get the same brand and model of bars on it for this truck. It was back ordered and wasn't available for weeks and the shop suggested a set of bars from Westin that looked nearly identical and they could have them there in like 2-3 days for the same price. So I went with that option and they arrived and were installed and I had the same problem as you. They shaked, rattled and rolled. There was like about an inch of horizontal movement so I had them removed. I wasn't happy, the shop called the manufacturer and their 'tech support' was useless. So we ordered my Go Rhino bars and they are on the truck now and are absolutely solid. I think what the difference was the mounting brackets from Go Rhino are huge and solid and those bars don't move at all. The ones from Westin and I am assuming it's a similar issue to the Ranch Hand is that they are not as solid and like with anything, if your foundation isn't solid, nothing past that will be. Hope that helps. I have a picture up here with the bars installed on the truck if you want to see.

If the bolts are loosening up on you then you should add some loctite.

Is it heavy? Could the weight just be letting the truck bounce a smidge over normal that you notice it.

The issue I had with the first set of bars was that their mounting brackets were absolute garbage. I was able to compare them side by side with the Go Rhino brackets. The GO Rhino brackets were twice as thick and absolutely solid. They have been on the truck for several weeks and haven't moved a fraction of an inch. Just my 2 cents worth. If you want bars and want them solid...get the Go Rhino Wranglerguards.

I actually like the mesh, it's looks great but also keeps anything from going through your radiator....like protesters for example. :)

I haven't had any bolts loosen up on my Ranch Hand. I totally over torqued them with a breaker bar. I have a decent OME setup that has worked quite well handling the extra weight .

I haven't had them losen up on me that is what ranch hand said they have had complains about. However I do think that it has to do with the mounts and how low they are on the truck. I have noticed othe tundras on the road that have ranch hands have the same bounce

I still suggest the GoRhino Wranglerguard. The mounts are solid and there is no movement whatsoever.

I have one on mine. Does not flex or bounce at all unless I'm off road.

How big of a PITA is it for you to pull your grill off with that ranch hand on?
