Mine have always been on the top. I don’t think it’s critical but that’s just a guess.

Thanks. I've noticed that the pads aren't touching the rotors at the bottom as the spring is pushing the pads back, but the pads are touching at the top. I'm hoping that moving them to the top will help them to not touch.

    Top.

First, I was corrected when I posted mine with the spring at the bottom. https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1913#post-3519076
Second, with the wheel rotation, it makes the most sense to have them at the top to release the pad at first point of rotor contact.

Both? Am I missing a spring? Should I have a spring on the top and the bottom?

Almost done with fabrication, a couple of days of welding and details and its on to media blast and paint. I'd much rather be doing tundra stuff.

@kentuckyMarksman , The only important thing to remember is to grease those pins every couple years or so. If you let it go too long, they seize from rust and you need to drill them out. Don't ask me how I know. :anonymous:

i'm running both. New brakes came with new hardware, so old springs on bottom, new springs on top.

Didn’t want to start another thread on brakes, but just a quick question.

installed an extended rear brake line. Bled all 4 corners and LSPV. I’ve bled the LSPV twice now and pedal feel is coming back instead of blowing through it and grabbing at the bottom. Should I keep bleeding the LSPV or am I SOL?

I know that the correct order is RR, LSPV, LR, RF, LF. Try it again in that order.

how much dripped out? Weight on the rear axle? Lspv might not let much fluid through if the axle is hanging.

I’ve got like 10 of them now from buying brake pads. I put one up and one down on both sides. Factory was just on top.
