It's time to upgrade the headlights on my 2010 Tundra.
I see a lot of after market options that are either really expensive or overkill for my needs.
Lots of them can be really hit or miss in terms of quality as well.

I'd like to get projector headlights that look as close to OEM as possible without breaking the bank.

    Any suggestions?

I went with the Morimoto XB’s with amber DRL. Not projector but a big improvement over stock halogen. Quality seems really good. Maybe my expectations were too high but I was hoping for a little bit better output or at least a more consistent beam. Also probably not fair to compare it to the HID retrofits i did in my 3rd gen 4runner years ago. I guess if you want projectors maybe go with alpharex? Just not sure of their quality. Never had a problem with any Morimoto product I ever purchased. As far as appearance, XB’s definitely look the best IMO.

    I would also recommend Morimoto.

Can you do this without the amber surround? Make it white?

V land sequoia lights. LED's not projectors. Can be found on eBay for close to half the price of morimotos.

Did you have to get a different trim piece underneath the lights?

It comes with the lights. You do have to rattle can it if you want it color matched though. In my photo above it wasn't painted yet and that's why it's still black. Duplicolor has Toyota colors and then I just 2k clear coated them. I'll have to dig up some newer pics.

Here is the eBay seller I bought from last year. Still happy and they still look great.

    Fronts only:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/3951972436...USa-s1jS6u&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

fronts and tails included: this is the set I bought.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/3947088688...USa-s1jS6u&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

everything is plug and play. Here's a fun tip for eBay shopping as well. Add an item to your watch list and usually within a few days you get a seller discount offer from anywhere between 5-10% off.

Sealights are good. Uses stock housing and has a non-blinding pattern. $100 for low beams, $130 for both. A big upgrade over stock and don't cost arm+leg.

I second the Alpharex pro series. I like how the low beams are still halogen, so they don’t blind others but the high beams are super bright. The price is also hard to beat. I ordered mine through headlight revolution and had problems with the first set (probably my fault) and got a replacement set with no hassle.

I used the Sealights as well ( have them on all my cars ). Only paid $35 for the low beams. Have been on for 2 years and have never been flashed.

As much as I wanted the Morimoto I went with a blackout trim halogen on my silver truck. It’s a base model. I’ve just purchased SOS suspension kit and airbags with Bilsteins. So budget restraints. But it does look cool. Both trucks got Amazon specials in Halogen. At least I can see in the dark now.

I put oem 2018+ sequoia headlights in mine which have great light output. They are not cheap though. Sourced them used off eBay for about 800, then trim pieces 100, and harness 100… so about $1k. I’d like to get a set of morimotos as those too me are the best looking.
