I pulled a Ford Ranger on a heavy trailer About 75 miles and it did great. I've also pulled a lot of rental trailers with no issues.

5k Shamrock cuddy going to the Del Bay tomorrow morning. It makes the Tundra look pretty small.

Thanks! But when the day comes I want a BassCat. Rangers are awesome hulls and I've been a fanboy since I was a kid but they're owned by Johnny Morris (BassPro) now and the company is changing. I'm about an hour from both factories and have been all throughout both due to my job, Ranger a ton, its pretty cool.

    BassPro huh? Interesting.

I’ll have to check out the BassCat.

Yea he brought them in late 2016 along with Triton and Stratos (all three made under the same roof). He killed the Stratos brand at the end of 2017. Last year he also bought Legend, which is basically next door to BassCat, and has moved Triton out of the Ranger factory and into that facility. He owns quite a few boat companies now White River Marine Group.

Yes, they already sold Ranger and BPS sold Nitro. Now you can find both brands in each catalog but the way I understand he won't sell Ranger at a BPS facility for now anyway, I'm sure that will change. I'm about 1.5 hours from BPS headquarters and haven't seen any there yet.

I tow a 5000 Champion 2200 Bay Boat. I pulled it from Lafayette to Dallas with my Tacoma. Tacoma pulled it fine on IH at 70-75 Mph but decided a 21 gallon tank was not going to cut it at 9-10 mpg.

I did a trial run after getting tired of waiting for etrailer to get my package to me(3 weeks). I am super happy with how it pulled and stopped. I have since added the controller but I have not used it yet.

3.4 right? I pulled a lot of miles with that setup in my 4runner. I think it is the same transmission in both as well.

    Yes, 3.4.
2 dudes with all our fishing tackle, gear, couple coolers full of food/ice/beverages, small generator, misc. tools etc. etc., no problem keeping it at the speed I like to tow, between 70-72mph. Got 16 mpg towing at that speed too . . . one of the things I miss about that truck.

I was in the mountains with about 1k pounds of cargo(weight dist and people) and a 3k pound camper. It was not enjoyable other than passing a broken down new dodge pulling a camper. I usually got about 10mpg pulling the old box camper.

Only a few weeks after I purchased the truck. Did fine at 4,500 ft elevation. Don't really need to go that fast towing 5,500 lbs, do we?
