Was wondering if anyone knows of a light bar kit, that can be spliced in to the back up lights??? Need more light when backing up at night.

The existing backup wires probably can't handle the current directly. But you should be able to splice in a relay and then run a bigger wire back from the battery.

Not that I know of, at least not specifically. However, a light is a light and does not know where on the truck it is being mounted. Just buy a light kit that includes a relay harness, and mount it on the back. Instead of tapping into the headlight circuit, as you normally would, you'd instead be tapping into the backup light circuit. Also, one of the relay harness wires goes to the battery (its typically a red one with an inline fuse). You'd need to extend that wire to reach the back of the truck.

This is what I was going to recommend. Toytec did the same on their truck.

I really like them. Rigid makes a little insert to put some angle on them, that would be even better.

And I just got cheap "knock off" ones from Amazon. I have less than $50 in those and haven't had any issues so far (2-3 months).

Just installed these, I plan on covering them with a film which will black them out but not cut back on light output.

Yeah, I didn't run a relay or fuses. They are small enough I don't believe I will have any issues. It ever blows a fuse I will run a relay.

Probably not. But not a big deal. Does come with 2 screws with each light. Go to ACE or Home Depot and fab your own mounts. Piece of cake.

Really, it's not a big deal. Not really fab. Just look around for something that will work for brackets or mounts. Use your imagination. I do it all the time. Sometimes I make a couple of trips until I'm satisfied.

They come with mounts, it's tricky getting them to attach to the tow package.

Maybe when it's daylight and you have time you can take a good pic of the mounting set up and post. Thinking more folks here may want to get a pair of these.
