Where is it?

 

Washed the Rig today just in time for a sorely needed rain (you're welcome, neighbors). Also slapped on the MGM overlays on the bulge and surround. The contrast between the new 1G3 and old is evident but I still like it. It'll fade and blend in I guess. Looks a LOT better than the old faded peeling bedliner. @EC1 here's your after pics.



Also installed the bulge lighting (white) and it really pops I think.



And replaced the rear reverse pods in the bumper with Infinite Off-road 40w diffused pods.



Oh and installed new-to-me Carhartt seat covers in the front.



Busy day (well, 2 days)...

 

I opted for the powder coated steel. Hoping it will hold up better than aluminum in the long run.

NP. Oh man , after measuring I opened my rear door and stuck my tape between C pillars. I figured 58" would make it. Oh well. It's 11 ga, IIRC, maybe trim it a bit and paint? I hope you find a solution.

 

As part of my 60k service, I drained and filled the rear diff yesterday. Every 30k according to the manual. This is stuff was black. Amsoil

75w-90 going out, and Amsoil 75w-90 going in.


Very little stuck to the magnet this time around. New crush washer on, ready to reinstall and torque to 36 ft lbs:

 

What did I do , I added the TRD PRO Grill and since it was open I decided to add spyder projector headlights in black smoke but I encountered a serious problem , they will not fit with the leveler installed and barely fit without the leveler. Does anyone know anything about this as Spyder insists that they work , the video shows them install on a 2016 Tundra I have a 2014 , Thanks for any insight

VERY important question: Did you install it while that cowcatcher was still on, or did you take it off first?

 

The cow catcher was lowered and cleared the surround for removal then application.

 

I had them in my 2016 years ago. I don't recall any fitment issues. Nice headlights until they started getting condensation.

This looks great, got a few questions:
- How did this one mount? Do you still use the ProClip mount that clips on top part of that dash piece but just swap out for the ESR charger/holder?
- How sturdy/solid is it with bumps or off-road?
- How did you do the wiring connection/routing?

As far as how sturdy/solid is it with bumps and or off-road, well I don't know yet. My truck is 95% street and so far I haven't tested it off-road. If I do go off-road, it would be unpaved dirt/gravel/fire roads. At that point, I wouldn't be going so fast either, just around 20-30mph. I have run over a few railroad tracks and this thing has help up my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Upon further inspection, it does appear that ESR has a stronger phone mount which I could have used instead:

There is a port at the bottom of the ESR mount to plug in the provided cable and other end to a USB port to make it "wireless". I'm fine with just plugging in cable to my phone directly. I haven't tried the wireless charging extensively (just like a few seconds to see if it actually works), I have read reivews the phone does get hot. There is another ESR mount that does have a built-in fan to combat this:

However, you there is a blue lighted LED ring around the mount that may get annoying to you if you don't cover it with your phone. Also, the fan noise was louder than I expected. So, I returned that one. Alternatively, I could have just kept that one since I won't see the blue light when my phone is attached, which should be almost all the time when I'm in my truck. Also, the fan noise would be non-existent since I still just plug my cable to my phone directly.

 

I got mine set up now that I got my cover more under control. I’ll upload some pics tomorrow.

@snivilous working on my LS103mm throttle body adapter plate to Whipple. Excited to see the gains from this new intake revamp.

 

Just had these installed yesterday. My immediate reaction is that I really like the way the wheels look color and pattern wise (total TRD Pro look without the cost,) but I'm not sure about the stance, which has my tires peaking out of the fender wells, almost as if I had used spacers... I was not expecting it, and I'm going to have to see if I can get used to it. Oh, and the tires rub a hair at full turn angle now. Again, not sure how that happens when I install what I thought were a direct swap for the OEM wheels size wise.

 

My license plate bracket arrived from Rago/ADD this afternoon. Hope to get my bumper installed soon now that it’s finally spring here

 

same size wheel, but those wheels have an offset of +1 where the OEM is +60, major difference , 2.3" difference in fact

 

Installed some RokBlokz today. Very happy with the coverage compared to OEM with my offset. Hopefully fewer paint repair necessary in the future.

 

AJT got me for a few hundos. Shifter, shifter gate, vent covers, and door handle overlays before/after chrome and silver delete. Got some steering wheel pieces to install soon too.

 

Learned how to mount and balance tires in my Dad’s shop, a DIY guy so dedicated that he has all the tools to do this at home.
