Yeah, I got lucky last year when my buddy replaced my heat pump for cost at about $6k vs $15k+ for retail, but I don't have any friends that do plumbing.

    Yep.

Oh for sure. My buddy (also a neighbor) came by the other year as my furnace was acting up. (He owns his own HVAC company) Simple fix that I didn’t see. Took him 10 minutes, and I gave him $60

Great pics, but the last one is my favorite. If I'm ever in Middle Michigan you gotta let me give the pup some pets and belly rubs!

 umm honestly in previous years I probably could have gave you specific months but the weather has been so damn weird I don't even know usually spring is very nice and early fall is also quite nice but I wouldn't be surprised to see crazy ass temps anytime this year.

An apple pie costs $3.00 in Antigua, $3.25 in Barbados, $3.50 in the Bahamas.

These are the PIE RATES of the Caribbean.

My entire neighborhood is slab and I'm not that far away from you. It was apparently popular in the early 80s. More popular was to lay the copper in the slab to provide a heated floor effect.

@Azblue - does insurance not handle this? Our homeowners covered it in full, and reimbursed us for all out of pocket expenses to triage the immediate problem. Wishing you the best on this one. Known water issues is an absolute mind eff

Last summer was very pleasant but in the past we have seen stretches in the 90s and even a hundred here and there. May and early June and end of September into October are probably the best times of year.

I have been through the 15 year wake up and the Detailer would be in Hell with all of that crap. Driving through at night and when you stop the car/truck is covered. That was back in St. Louis years ago

I liked this but I'm not sure why. Nobody wants to live through that experience.

However, last summer we ran the greeen river through gates of lodore and we experienced a Mormon cricket hatch. It was not a fun experience.

Edit: dead link. So I deleted it

Looks like most of us will get spared. Good luck to those that aren't. Cicadas are a migraine with wings.
