Dropping my 2014 off at the dealership tomorrow to repair the cam tower leak.
It may go another 50K miles with the leak, it may go 5 more miles..
I want to keep this truck for another 10 years so I want it fixed.

I've got the money to get it fixed so let's do it..
Hope they give me a Gen 3 Tundra for a loaner so I can see what the hubbub is all about...

Those SOBs gave me a Tundra Platinum for a loaner.
Only drove it 11 miles but it sure is sweet..

 

Is the loaner covered or u have to pay for it? My 2016 is guna be checked out tomorrow for cam tower leak…& if it needs repair… hope I get a loaner too

So my findings so far after driving it a few hours;
The fake engine noise isn't so bad, I'd probably leave it if I bought one.
There is a definite window wind noise issue.
The hybrid is nice, the engine stops at full stop, but it is hardly noticeable.
Seats are comfy, lay out is nice, not as cramped as I thought it would be.
The rear seat window going down is awesome, I miss that on my 2014 DC.
Had it on my 2005 DC.
Only thing is I can hear the bed rattling with that window down.
Sounds like the old Retrax cover I had on my 2005..
The tow mirrors are HUGE, but I like them..

Need to take the wife for a drive, maybe she will by me a new one..

Spent the day trying to get the FJ windshield situation fixed once and for all. Got a new windshield installed last year and it started leaking so had to wait until I had enough time to address the issue. Guys came today and took the glass out. I treated areas with POR15 and seam seal. Old trucks are needy sometimes.
