Thanks! I currently don't have steps on my 2014 Platinum, it has a leveling kit and some of my passengers have a little trouble hopping in :). I am trying to decide if steps on the '23 TRD Pro I'm waiting for are a good idea, and if the power/auto retracting steps or fixed are more practical. I don't want anything too bulky or hanging too low.

Your Welcome. If you go on Toyota’s website to where you can build a truck and see the accessories, then they have like 3 additional side step options that are cheaper than the Trd aluminum running boards. But all of them are fixed. Trd pros don’t come with the automatic ones from the factory. Only the Capstone does it come standard. 1794 and platinum you can option them on if you want to.

35x11.50r18 Wildpeak RT’s on stock Pro. Doesn’t rub anywhere during daily driving. I think I might go with the Westcott lift later on but I think this is fine for now.

Thanks to all who contributed the advice and pics. I went with Toyo AT III's, 35x12.50, no lift, and kept the mud flaps -didn't even need to modify them or pin back, no rubbing anywhere. I don't think pictures capture how much better these trucks look with 35's, it is a drastic improvement! I waited a while and put 10k miles on the OEM Wildpeaks so I have solid perspective on those tires and now the "after".

Nice choice, if I had a TRD Pro I’d do the same thing.

If I had to do it again I’d do 35” just to fit in the spare tire location.

However , I really enjoy the dirty sevens!

Anyone have mileage numbers for the falken 35’s? I had falkens on my last truck and loved them. I assume the three above were load c or d?

I have the Falken at4w in 295 70R18 and I dropped to about 14.5 mpg. I would imagine 35s would be close.

What were you at before? Any lift? I’ve got trd pro wheels/tires and level kit. Getting about 19 combined in 2/3 hwy. have a c I Baja bumper in the garage awaiting install. Can’t imagine what I’m going to do with 35’s and the bumper. Ugh.

I was at about 18 to 18.5 before. No lift. Just stock TRD Pro suspension.

Maybe a dumb question, but what’s the lightest 35 tire you would stick on a Pro? Originally thought about getting some Coopers but doesn’t look like they make the right size.

I don’t know about the absolute lightest but the 35x11.50 Wildpeak RT01 was the lightest I could find at about 64 lbs.

The recon grapplers are pretty light. I think 54 - 64lbs based on load/speed rating.

Great feed back I’m working with Jeff @ Wescott designs locally and will have more feedback soon, but I’m thinking 35” Toyo’s or Ridgegrapplers on the OEM 2024 Tundra TRD Pro wheels with spacers to a 0 offset or some wheel poke for a more aggressive stance but not over done on the current 18” TRD Pro wheels or possibly swapping to 17” Fuel cover D694’s Matte Black or Methods something more aggressive with a lot more tire bite for an on road off road use but aggressive look. I’ll do the Wescott designs collar lift with possible ICON UCA’s or keep the stock UCA on the Pro. I’ll also be adding bags for future use for towing a wake surfing boat, overland gear, and or Overland gear, tent, bed rack etc.

I know old post. I somehow got 22-24 if driving hwy under 65mph on my Pro with stock tires.

Now with 35x11.50 Wildpeak RTs I get 18-18.5 on the same 90 mile drive. Around town and mixed driving it settles out to be about 16-17 before doing tire calculations.

Just the simple mod of bigger tires makes these trucks come alive in overall appearance.

Looks great, what's your MPG for city and highway? I'm running 295/70/18s and getting 12.5 city and 17.5 highway (dash readout). If I'm hauling ass on the highway, I'm getting 15 mpg or so.

I have a 2024 White TRD Pro with Red Interior. I decided to go with Falken 295/70R18. Decided against Westcott Lift.

My Mileage City approx. 13.5 HWY approx. 16 not pushing hard.

Recommend the Falken's a lot. Thye handle great.

Would love a little better gas mileage but we all know the TRD Pro and bigger OFF Road Tires means a drop of approx. 2-3 MPG's probably more.

These are the same tires I'm considering. Have you determined how much of an MPG hit you've taken? Also, what is the size of the tires you replaced?

Not yet. I expect around 2mpg… I bought the truck and took it straight to my tire shop a few days later.

I replaced the factory 285/65R18s wildpeak ATs

Since your original tires are fairly big and heavy perhaps it won't be so bad for you. Like maybe only 1MPG? I'm coming from 265/70R18 street tires so I expect I'll see more of a MPG hit. Currently when I'm driving around town at 30-45MPH I can get 22-23MPG, I'm guessing I'll be seeing 19-20MPG once I do the swap. Someone should come up with a calculator to predict MPG loss due to tire size and weight changes. It should be pretty easy to calculate if you have the empirical data from several before/after surveys.
