Great write up. I’ll most likely attempt this assuming the connectors are available over at corsa technic. Thanks again

It's a 10 pin connector, nothing special. Pins 1-4 on the top row and 6-10 in the second. Everything can be in Y harness except for the 2 trigger wires which can be in a second Y harness. If the desire is to have the ignition switch unfold the mirrors then just cut 1 wire. Create that harness and offer it to all the Platinum and 1794 guys.

From a risk management standpoint, I probably should do my due diligence and say (insert disclaimer here).

Also this still doesn't address what a lot of people were looking for in this thread, which was to illuminate the switch itself. I posted here because I was able to use a lot of the information from here to get auto folding on my Platinum, to which I am thankful for.

Many thanks but I will not have time to get into this before surgery unfortunately

Fortunately the internet will still be here when you are ready. I hope all goes well for you and recovery is quick.

So I was checking Google to find out why my power mirror switch didn't light up and it brought me here where I learned it doesn't light up because it's not supposed to. This is my second Toyota truck and I love the build quality of them but good Lord they cut corners in some strange places. LOL!
