When my son was little he kept chewing on electrical cords, so I grounded him.

I'm half considering taking the family on a Tundra 2 Tundra(ish) trip this summer. We'd go from our home up to Yellowknife, Northwest Territory. It's Tundra(ish) because Yellowknife isn't fully on the arctic tundra but it's pretty close.

I haven't been up there since I was a little kid and The Woman never has been. It's about 13 hours of driving one way if done in a single shot on about 650+ miles of very remote highways. I think I'd break it up into 2 days there, 2 days back and maybe 2 days in Yellowknife for sightseeing.

Gotta do a few small overnight camping trips to break in the gear and get little AK more accustomed to nights in the tent.

The sooner you get them outdoors the better. Especially if screen time isn't available because service isn't available.

I'm not sure what you have going on with your knees.
Mine are bone on bone, just like my shoulders.
I get cortisone injections every 3 months in my knees and they help a lot.
I tried the knee gel injections 3 times and they just didn't help me at all.
I wanted them to, but they didn't.

    I'll eventually be getting both knees replaced, but my Doc says 2 things;
As long as the steroid injections help, he will keep doing them.
He also says I'm too young (61) for knee replacements and I need to hold off on that for as long as comfortably possible..

The shoulders are a different story, instead of popping they are now grinding.
Steroid shots every 3 months in those as well.
But one is getting replaced this fall and the other next fall.
Gotta use company insurance before I retire..:D

    Good luck..

I am half of your age, so I doubt I will be a good candidate for new knees. They've done cortisone shots before, but are hesitant as it can break down ligaments allegedly. If I go in, they'll likely set me up for an MRI (I always bitch about PT and to bypass it - just made it worse) and probably see either something (inflammation, or something torn) or see nothing. My left shoulder I am sure I can do another cortisone shot in, but its not bothersome enough for me.

"Head, shoulders, knees and toes" went from being a fun little kids' song to a list of things that hurt.

That bridge situation is a horrible story. Woke up to it this morning. The fact they found anyone after that is a miracle.
