For foot pain, you're gonna want to look into the proper cushioning layer/support for your foot. Just look at your foots arch. There's minimal, average, and high arch's. Get an insole that will support it. Stay away from memory foam as it likes to get moist and fester growths.

as for socks, I found soccer socks to be the most comfy

Yeah, they didn't seem like 6's but I just re-used the old ones. I'd like to replace if I can dig up the part number but I didn't even dig through my parts bin cause I was slithering on the cardboard all greasy and dirty and just wanted to wrap up and see if I f'd it up or not. They are pretty accessible though. I think I have some which will fit and are new but I dunno if exhaust needs special ones cause heat and stuff. Figured when I bring it in for oil to the dealer tomorrow I'll try to order deez nuts, they will probably charge me $20 each :)

I just realized what likely caused it, after realizing the rust is primarily only in the area directly below the opening....

We didn't cover the vents when we did all the drywall when remodeling the kitchen in 2009. I don't know how long the drywall dust sat on this part of the vent before it got cleaned out, maybe days, maybe weeks, sadly maybe months. And you know what drywall dust does to metal.

Hopefully I'm good for another 20 years.

Just wearing out too fast, generally heel first, but the ball’s not far behind.
I’ll check out the darn tough, I’ll spend the money if it’s worth it.
I’ve tried many types of materials, merino wool is nice, but can be a bit warm, my current best socks are a merino blend and have been great all winter, plenty warm.

I generally wear Keen work boots or Blundstone work boots (nice to have a slip on option), got to have a safety toe/CSA certified. I replace the insert a couple or few times in the lifespan of a pair.
I’ve tried a handful of brands, Keen are the most comfortable to me by far, but their quality is a bit lacking given the price, I think I’ve collected on the warranty for every pair I’ve had- that’s one thing that actually bothers me, their ‘lifetime warranty’ is only the lifetime of the first pair, they don’t warrant replacements, kinda lame.

Taco owner who bought my wheels ended up being a really cool dude. Drove the youngest up to meet him at Bass Pro Shops so the kid could see the tank, which is apparently a wildlife display now with a much smaller tank? Weird. Maybe I'm confusing BPS with Cabelas or something. But I'm almost positive it's not the case. Anyway, he got them mounted on 285s today and shot me some pics. Made me think I coulda made these work out if I'd just blacked out my flairs and trim like @FirstGenVol. Dude also told me about Prentice Cooper State Forest? Said it's a fun, easy run that's pretty central to SC/NC/TN/AL @ https://www.instagram.com/explore/l...ice-cooper-state-forest?igsh=b3RremU1cGZ1ZzBo

I wear through heels. Partially the work of the motor cycle, but in big rooms i know how to doublestep & sound like 2 people. And on concrete, i've got a bit of a swagger. Gotta walk gentle on rocks. And you drag your heel, so in the dark you dont put your foot down on a rock. I'm a terrible walker & my favorite socks are thin & dont last long, but i can leave my shoes tied.

I haven't been there but it's a popular place. Lots of trails from what I've heard.

I need to find some spots within a few hours of morrilton, AR. Grandma can stay at her cousins, & i can go exploring. Last time i was there i made em drive me to the top of mt.magazine & mt.petit jean & follow me down the switchbacks on a resale shop Giant mountain bike (brand, not size). I was unaware rim brakes would wear that fast & had to foot brake against the tire towards the bottom. Almost weent off a 100ft cliff. Was the first time i was truly terrified after the motorcycle crash & taught me i wasnt made of porcelain.

This happened to me walking around in the woods at my uncle’s place in West Monroe. We were walking the barb wire fence along the property line and I stepped on a 2by with two nails sticking up out of it, straight thru my foot. Hopped thru the woods with my two cousins and brother, my uncle was piss ass drunk and was cussing me, walked over, asked to “look at it”, yanked it outta my foot and beat my ass with the board for “being a dumbass”. Long story with that guy, short version is, he was a real piece of shit. Ended up burning all my aunt’s clothes at one point, then kicked her outta the house, she came to live with us. Then married someone with the same name. I think he eventually dumped her, then married another woman with the same name. Shit is so weird, you can’t make it up.

Oh, and dude never told my parents, told me not to say anything. Mom asked why I was limping and I told her “hurt my foot”. Then she saw it at bath time (I was probably 6 at the time) and flipped the fuck out.

My kids know where all the “loose nails” are at around the property……
When we’ve done our walks to the creek lately, I feel way better with no flip flops on, just raw doggin it. Everyone else has their serious day hiker get up on.

Back in those days my parents were 'clubbing' not 'parenting'. I get the feeling not everyone from the mid 80's was as free as me. I didnt have a babysitter until the late 90's and my brother was old enough to cause trouble. The last wild child.
