Auto Braking Question

I get how the truck will auto-brake when it's in cruise control and also noticed how it brakes when backing up as well. Will it auto-brake when just driving along while NOT in cruise control but at high speeds?

Just curious.

 

I was trying to pull out from a Walmart parking stall and an there was an approaching car coming from the left. The truck SLAMMED on the brakes. Scared me for a second.

 

yes it will, happened to me twice on the freeway, once at slow speeds in bumper to bumper traffic when a car merged into my safe cushion and the 2nd time I was going 65 on the freeway, car in front of me decided they wanted to exit the freeway last second so they slammed their brakes to avoid missing the exit. I almost got rear ended that time because the auto brakes brought me to an almost complete stop.

I turned the pcs sensitivity down to low and it helps from being overly aggressive

 

THIS! Had lots of issues until I read the Owners Manual and learned how to turn it down.
