I have not noticed it before yesterday, but while at Lowes I noticed my side mirrors adjust in the downward direction when I put my truck in reverse. It seems to have started after I downloaded and installed the recent infotainment update. Anyone else notice this? Can this be disabled. It is really annoying.

And in an effort not to be called out, I did look in my manual and I also did a search on this forum. I could not find any information. I could have very well just missed it.

It had nothing to do with the software. You can change it with the mirror switches/joystick on the driver door. Play with your stick and youll find out :)

Your mirror adjustment knob will change this. Put it in the corner position and it won’t do it…

It is disabled by moving the joy stick to the middle position (not selecting left or right mirror). Also, if you want to keep it active, bust adjusted for better viewing, you can adjust the mirrors while in reverse, by selecting (twist the joy stick to select either right or left mirror).

Does that work on all models?

I would guess it only works on trims with memory seats, as that's commonly how it works to remember your home mirror position.

Yes, my 2023 Limited 4x4 has started doing this after the software update I did on 3/22/2024. It is most noticeable on the passenger side mirror.

All the update did for me was reset all my head unit preferences to factory default and remove my driver profile.

That is a feature you already had. Like Chuckles Toy said, if your mirror joy stick is in the middle position it’s disabled. If you keep it on left or right it will tilt both mirrors down when you put the truck in reverse. When in reverse you can adjust each side to where you want them to aim at. When you put your car back in drive they go back to your original position

This is a great feature and glad it is included. You can use it to know where your wheels are when backing up, like knowing position relative to the parking spot sidelines. Impressed that it works for both mirrors. We've had this feature for many many years on BMWs and Porsche.

Agreed. I've had the "mirror dip" on a few vehicles and it's saved many a wheel and tire from my cobblestone curbs.
