I recently picked up an '06 DC with the 4.7. It's in great shape and I like it a lot. I've been working my way through it. I have 2 questions hopefully you guys can help me with. There was some pretty janky wiring done on it. There is a purple wire going from a relay in the under-hood fuse box to the intake air temp sensor. Top right in picture below. Any idea what that wire might be for?

There is also an aftermarket grill with accessory lights on it. I'm wondering what the recommended access point is for a switched accessory feed. I noticed that the feed it's on actually turns off if you turn off the fan. It's the red wire in the picture below. It works, but obviously not how I want it. I did quite a few searches and didn't come up with anything worthwhile. Thanks in advance for any advice. Looking forward to learning more about my truck. Some great threads in here I already learned a lot from.

Can confirm. Have the same kit on my truck.

A giant thank you!! I had run Google pretty hard and came up with nothing. When the weather breaks, I can clean up the wiring that was done with both. I really didn't want to redo the wiring until I knew what the heck it was for! The wires for both the grill lights and the air pump bypass were just kind of tossed under the hood. Definite no bueno. One lesson I learned a long time ago is to not let crappy/sloppy wiring go. It will always bite you at the worst time, like 3am while it's snowing really hard and you are in the middle of nowhere.

Jerry, I got a kick out of some the back and forth in the Raptor grill light thread. I have a Race Red '20 Raptor Supercrew also, I think the lights look good on the Tundra AND my Raptor! Thanks again, you guys are awesome.
