I popped out the shields inside my map lights b/c they‘ve been dim as shit ever since moving to LED. I took a photo with one shield out so people could see how radical a difference the light output is. Popping out the shield is easy and if you just exacto off the head of the plastic pseudo-rivet, the shield remains intact.

I kept the shields so I could reinstall later if I wanted to. If you leave the nubs behind, no reason you can't pop the shields back in.

But let me ask: Who the hell would want to go back? I'll never put halogens in again, so there's no point in me having the shields back in.

I mean this with all possible respect, because I'm usually the guy who is anti-non-reversible-mods. :D

FWIW, my map lights are the brightest light in my entire truck now. I may do something to dial them back a little bit. Maybe go with a lower-wattage bulb in that spot.

Well just wanted to know when things are full commital. But hey do you need LEDs becuase the protector is for heat so can't do this and continue using the orignal halogens? Looks like I better order some bulbs first and while I'm at it also for for the TBL and backups. Off to search for part #s.

I think the reflectors are tailored to using halogens, and focus the light out the lens oval area.

these sell SO FUCKING FAST. It's crazy. SimpleTire ran out in a week (5-6 sets) and these guys (prioritytire) had 10(?) a week ago and had 5 yesterday. Now are down to 3 sets since this morning.

Are you endorsing these? I've never heard of them so I had to Google. Made in China. Can't find many actual reviews online. Just people asking about them.

I just think they're cool lol I like Blake Wilkey and his insane bug. I can get behind anything that is used in actual competition/ for shredding

    IMG_4400.jpg

also I may add the MT's have 100x more reviews due to how ridiculously aggressive they look. But I daily my truck so I battled that inner demon and forced myself to get AT's

Good Morning from Monterey,Ca. Quicki question for those who have a 1st gen Tundra with a soft top. What is the ceiling hieght from floor bed? And will the top material squish somewhat when folded forward ? This is the area where the top of the front tires on the bikes reside, once loaded up in the bed. My hopes are that the top can be folded down and up while still clearing the bikes. Will be traveling cross country with this setup. Haven't pulled the trigger on the soft top yet but looks like it might fit the bill nicely. I can fold down the handle bars for better clearance. .PB280813.jpg P2010913.jpg

The height is roughly even to the cab. The softopper will accordian fold forward or backward.

Finally got my bed decals and actual OEM center caps on. I was running the FNW caps that came with the wheels because the OEMs were on backorder for months and it was bugging the shit out of me.[IMG]

Threw 7qts of some slippery stuff in the engine after I drained it and changed the filter. Greased all my tids and bits(driver side uca zerk seems to be clogged or stuck, I’ll add that to the list and forget it in 5k miles)
But I’m glad I did a visual feather dusting; my aux fan has fallen victim to the southern sun and the pass thru tensioners failed; I’ll be looking into the sequoia mod/upgradeFFB3537C-B709-42F2-AFA0-19FE88628DA2.jpgThen greasing the front shaft, I noticed my rear o2 extension found a new home on the yoke of the drive shaft for the front. I’m actually pretty impressed by the quality of the aftermarket extension sheathing and wire insulation……. C3D3DFF1-4C3D-4458-AE39-A0D6FF54EBBA.jpgFD2EA2BB-9BB3-4A1E-90CA-6DDE470BAC4F.jpg

lastly I went to grease the zerks on the new TC drop shackles………. Someone needs a spanking…….. straight zerks that point right at the back of the hanger…… come on @TOTAL CHAOS hook a brother up with a 90degree zerk back there!!!
Threw some Bosch icons blades on, probably won’t actually rain anytime soon
lastly, if you didn’t find out yet, bricks don’t work well as dunnage blocks to lift stuff! I don’t know where all my wood blocks went! C9CB5D8F-D66E-4C40-B03C-9DDB42D901F6.jpgI was trying to flex out the shackles to get a good angle on the zerk, but I crumbled.
It’s supposed to rain tonight so I wanted to knock all this out today after a long bday party with some tasty smoked meats…..E4D7F04B-EE16-4189-AE54-F0B9FA787292.jpg 18hr+ smoke on the pork butt turned out amazing!!!

I emailed Natika a while back when I started getting a black screen on reverse. They sent me a replacement and one day I wiggled the wiring and it came back on so I left the replacement in the house. Well the installed one developed cataracts so today I decided to replace it with the replacement camera they sent me. It's not even the same brand. Lol. New camera works just fine. Picture is back to being clear well as clear as can be on a low res resistive screen. At least it's not washed out now.

Supposedly it’s a plug and play per empty. When I checked out @AZBoatHauler set up on the sequoia, I liked what I saw, but it might only be a viable ridgline upgrade…..

The AC a/c condenser doesnt have the built in mounts for the sequoia fan, but could probably fabricobble some brackets to work.

The trick is not having a gap on the fan shroud, you want it basically on the condenser or else you loose a ton of air volume out the sides(I made brackets with it close but not on the face and you could feel all the air being expelled the wrong way, the push thru clip things held it tight and forced the air THRU the condenser but clearly they don’t last long)
The sequoia set up, looked like it was close as could be but still being supported properly. It’s the cold season here so I’m not to worried about it, maybe I’ll snip and dip the wires for now
