When I bought my truck in October it included an oem bed liner. The bed liner was not available when I picked up the truck because:

    1. We don’t know exactly
    2. Covid supply chain issues
    3. Fire in rubber plant
    4. Hurricane destroyed bedliner manufacturer plant.

    ETA went from:
    1. We don’t know exactly
    2. When Covid supply chain resolves
    3. We don’t know exactly
    4. When the bedliner plant gets rebuilt

I was last told “by spring”, which technically was yesterday.

I called action truck to order a black Armour bed at and was told they were out of stock but expected to arrive “end of April”.

how long would ya’all wait for the oem bed mat? (If at all)

black Armour is 100 bucks more, but a thicker mat that fits “better” AND I could potentially get it quicker. Maybe.

depends on Covid supply chains, or hurricanes, or whatever.

Find a carpet guy. Lots of brand new carpet scraps several days a week. Toss him a case of brew once in a while and you can have a new bed mat every week if you want it.

kinda how I’m leaning. I’ll ask for my moola back and get the black Armour end of April.

unless THEIR factory is hit by Covid/fire/hurricane/we don’t know

actually not a bad idea, but I’d like rubber. I may entertain the bedrug though….

Farm supply, stall mat. Cheap and effective, a bit heavy though. Works great for me because my truck bed is a perfect rectangle(Trail Edition benefit). Doubles as a door mat for the campsite too!

the black Armour mat is basically the same weight as a tractor, supply mat (I’m Canadian and just did a us trip….almost bought a mat?

I actually want weight (winter) so the mat + my diamondback =200lbs.

I’d have to trim 6” from the mat, and it isn’t a “perfect” fit, BUT I think the mats are 75 bucks… ish

Yeah, mine is a little bit long too, but it rolls up when closing the tailgate and forms a nice bridge over the gap when the tailgate is down. That said, I have a stainless tailgate protector too, so there's no concern with the rubbing whatsoever. My cost was $0, so that carries a little weight too.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Even with a nice cover (retrax pro XR) I get water in the bed. I would hate for the water to accumulate under the mat and get all gross. If that $599 was cooked into the invoice for the truck, you’re paying interest on that.

oem mat was only 225. I only financed 40% of the truck. I suppose I could use the refund and pay down the loan.

I have a diamondback cover. The only time I get water in the bed is after a high pressure car wash. I park in a garage with the cover flipped up to,dry overnight. Don’t know how much water if any would get underneath.

from what I’ve experienced much of the water would sit on top of the mat.

all valid stuff here. Makes a strong case for the tractor supply mat

just checked it out. That’s a good price. What made you buy it rather than oem, or other? I think the oem is the same thickness

Does it grip good? (Stuff don’t slide?) some mats are grippier than others

If you just want a rubber mat there are tons of options for less than $200. Pep boys, real truck, husky liner, weathertec. Unless I buy a truck that already has a sprayed-in liner I always just throw one of these mats in and call it a day. Really don’t care about scratches or dents inside the bed I just don’t want things sliding around

It’s a non issue. I had a bed mat and Diamondback cover on my Tacoma before I waterproofed the bed and would always get water under the mat. Never had an issue with it getting gross or moldy under the bed mat. Plus the new tundra has drain holes in the front so you wouldn’t need to worry about it much.

Plus 1 for a bed rug. Think I paid $100 on Amazon last year. Arrived within a few days as well. I didn't get the whole bed insert, just the mat. Slides good enough for me to load the bed with heavy coolers and gear but not so good I can hear or feel things sliding around back there while driving.

For me I didn't want one with too much grip, and the bed rug is a nice compromise. Doesn't add much weight though if that's important to you.

I got a Rough Country a few weeks ago. It does have very good grip. At first I thought it was maybe too much grip but I'm sure after it gets a bit dirty that will change. It shipped the same day I ordered it.

My rough county mat still stinks 3 months later. The smell is awful especially with the rear window down.

So does mine and I bought it 6 months ago. It’s a very interesting smell but I have a bedcover so it hits me hard only when opening the tailgate.

    I,did.

I honestly was curious how long one should give the dealer to make good on a bed mat.

    then, I wandered, lol.

Personally I'd tell the dealer to give my money back. They had their chance. When you pay it towards the loan write a check that it's towards principal balance so they don't get a share for interest.

I feel there stock bed liner is trash they don't prep the composite bed at all and if you actually use your bed for work it will rip it apart I got tired of pulling the liner off my stuff I toss in the bed took me 20 mins to rip it all out

the bed liner is a regional thing, everyone bashes Gulf States but the one thing they do well is put these bed liners in. My says Tundra on it and I haven't had any issues with it. Go with Line X or similar and be happy. Take the credit they give you and move on.
