The other thing I was suggesting was you open the shop to work on your truck on the weekend. By that I meant, you u nock the shop and help yourself. Not that you open the shop for business and pay employees to show up.

Around here, you need only go to an Irish bar and spit in someone’s Guinness to get “clocked”.

You've gotta work on 5 other tundras to unlock the chrome skidplate. 10 other tundras unlocks the gold wheels.

Got my truck entirely packed up and ready for a 3 week road trip through the Sierra Nevadas. 10 minutes out of town and got an o2 sensor code: p0161. Called up the dealership to see about ordering that specific o2 sensor for replacement. Its cost is 190$. Called a local shop that happened to have the exact same Denso part for 80$. Serious foke the dealership. Time to pick it up and see if this is something I can do in an hour or if I'm going to be pretend camping in my driveway tonight.

I actually thought it would be along the lines of finishing a tundra and then starting a whole new tundra.

So this vacuum line is too fucked to reuse. It’s a formed hose about 3/8ID to 1/4ID that runs from the evap canister to the intake plenum. According to Toyota it’s discontinued. Do you see any reason why I couldn’t run generic vacuum lines and use this union?

I don't see any reason why you wouldn't. I've replaced several vacuum hoses with whatever the rolls are that Auto Zone sells. Cool you have that union to take with you, make sure the fit is just right.

You don’t need the adapter if you use the correct sized vacuum lines that can stretch. At least I didn’t. This is with 8mm.

Interesting technique. How do you get the stiff wire out of the bent tube assuming like a 60 or 90 degree turn? Maybe black tape it to outside instead?

    I can't argue that.
I'm going to have the garage to myself for two weeks while the folk are in Greece, I think in May. I'd like to do my front end rebuild and maybe install my body lift in that time. I'll provide the Shiner and feed you. You can always crash in the pool house if you don't want to drive to Passedena.

    Shocks are good for now.
Still waiting on my parts to show up.
I want to do the LBJs and inner/outter tie rods.
I want to remove the spindles and I'll take em to TEQ Offroad to get the Total Chaos gussets welded on and the new bearings pressed in.
And if we are up to it, the body lift. We will likely need your floor jack and jack stands plus mine.

It's just one inch, everything should be fine. I have an extention or the steering column and I have a filler neck extension and spacers to put under the bed, so the bed can still withstand weight.

Hey I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for a baofeng style ham radio mount that doesn't involve drilling holes into the dash?

I'd like to get a mount for my little handheld baofeng, then run a wire up to an external antenna for a bit more range but I'm tired of having the radio bouncing around on the bench seat
