This is not in my wheel house.. All you need is the TPMS sensor assembly, right? The sensor "floats" in the wheel? No mounting hardware or anything like that?

The sensor is attached to the valve stem. If you purchase a TPMS sensor assembly for the Tundra you won't need any additional hardware.

In the early days of TPMS sensors some manufacturers (not Toyota, but certain GM and Ford models come to mind) used a different system to mount TPMS sensors using a cradle and band to hold the sensor to the wheel. This was basically a large hose clamp that went around the circumference of the outside of the barrel inside the tire with a cradle for the sensor itself. Then we'd just pull standard valve stems thru the valve hole.

Toyota sensors have always been attached to the valve stem, and most if not all modern TPMS sensors for all manufacturers are made this way now.

The sensor is part of the valve stem. There is nothing "floating" in the wheel.

There may be different angles to the sensors for different wheels. I know on the Gen 2.5 trucks the steel wheels and the alloy wheels had different sensors, but IDK if there are similar variances for the 3rd gen.

How well do Toyota OEM TPMS assemblies play with your wheels?

OEM TPMS sensors work just fine with our wheels.
