I'm salary now so I work until the work for the day or week is done. I do usually track my extra time and duck out early on a Friday when I can, though.

When I was an hourly contractor, the staffing company I technically worked for said I had to get approval in writing before going over 40 hours a week. My boss with the company I was on contract with didn't care that much.

 

wish I could leave sooner but our circumstances keep us here til 2029. FML.

Taken when they were in the back seat of my 1st Gen. Not a lot of room for 2 Pups back there with 2 teen girls in tow. They were pretty tuckered out after a full day on the raft.

A man can dream. But reality is what it is. "My" girls aren't a result of my sperm. 12 and 15 now, but have been with them since 3 & 5. And even though we have custody rights and 75% of parenting time when we communicated with their biological dad about getting all of us to leave the state a number of years back; He took us to court. For their sake we dropped the topic with him and chose to ride it out. Only 5 left though.

Oh hell no, we're not following that ass clown anywhere. And living in the mountains away from most of the idiots, it's easy to find happiness in our daily lives. I'll keep doing me and not worry about what our state or federal government chooses to do with their silly laws. Rule number 1, just don't get caught. Rule number 2; keep everything in perspective.

Possible, but the message he's always sent our girls is that your mom is trying to take you away from me. If we did just that, it would create resentment. We don't hate it here so much that we can't last another five years for them. Lastly, our decision to stay is really about them and having a relationship with him no matter how much of a POS person we think he is. He is their biological dad and we're here to support them having the ability to have him in their lives. Raising kids with morals, values and integrity is hard enough, no need to complicate it.

 

Pretty tragic. The first few paragraphs reek of virtue signaling and ensuring anyone disagreeing with their “facts” will be cancelled.

The same kind of stuff was pushed this year in WA. What wasn’t even feasible 4-5 years ago is now easy pickings.

The stupidity is that the "mass shootings" aren't properly defined and most are committed with a hand gun. Not ANY kind of rifle. It's pure unconstitutional horse crap. Though I hope they pass it, and I hope CO wakes the f**k up and recalls them for it. They did it to a few before.

It's been too long since tyrants were ran out of town on a rail, tarred and feathers, or just plain old shot, apparently. They seem to have forgotten that it's completely legal if they are going against their oaths.
