Im here for an write-up on my 2021 Toyota Tundra 1794 ed in Army Green. I came from a 1999 Land Cruiser but found myself needed a bigger truck as the family was getting bigger and towing a travel trailer was much easier

Started off with King 2.5" front and rear with Icon Tubular UCA and Icon RXT Leaf pack (more on that later). Sitting on some used Fiften52 wheels and KO2s, this was the best mpg the truck has ever seen (aside from stock).

Decided for the Leitner Design ACS Forged Bedrack pair with CVT's Mt Hood Large.
IMO, best interms of comfort and space utilization. Super easy to get organized with the Gear Pods.

With the used KO2s wearing out, I wanted a true 35. A BMC was needed for the Toyo MTs.

Lights before Lockers right? CBI goodies, were added. CBI's Front Hybrid Bumper along with their overland sliders and full steel skids. Baja Designs LP6 and S8 40" to compliment.

Multiple trips later, and I decided to regear the truck and add front and rear e-lockers.

On 35s the truck (i thought) was too aggressive and RPMs were higher than I wanted.
This gave me an excuse to get 37s

To clear with no rub, I got a CMR, added ekstrom's CoachBuilder Shims to the front, and got a better alignment for more caster.

At 70mphs, I was sitting at 2100 rpm and averaging 12-13 mpg. Truck weighed in at 7100lbs.
Driving impressions improved as well. It drove better than it did on stock gears and 35s. Found the truck not shifting out of 6th gear going up slight hills on the fwy. It just pulled through

Even with the regear however, transmission temperatures still sat at around 230-240 with regular driving. Going up steep grades, I hit 250! Couldn't imagine what the trans was going through without the regear on 35s.

Last week, I installed GenuineCoolingSystem's transmission cooler kit. Transmission doesn't see temps past 200 now. This should have been the first mod tbh.

I got big plans for the truck in the future including a whole new camp setup (bedrack and rtt for sale btw). Feel free to follow @21Tundy on instagram for more glamor pics and updates! Thanks for sticking to the end of the read.

    Cheers

Beautiful build. I've been eyeballing the CBI bumper for a while now. Curious how your radar is working w the front bar? I prefer that look on the bumper but was worried it would interfere.

Hi, how is it holding up? I have a similar CBI bumper (just not hybrid) and it has elongated slots (not round shape) where you have mounted the LP6s. Does your bumper have the same slots? How did you mount the lights in there? My lights have 3 bolts to mount them, I am wondering what is a proper way to mount them, they will all fit into that slot, just not sure if that would be secure enough for them. Thanks!

My LP6 also have 3 bolts. One in the middle is to key it mounted, other 2 are more for keeping the light in the direction. Should be the same mounting plate up at top.

If you scroll up where I installed my transmission cooler, you can see the top of that mounting plate

When I see “it’s a jeep thing; you wouldn’t understand” I assume they mean going out into the wilderness and needing to be towed back to civilization :D

    Hey @eSkittles,

The rig looks dialed in! How is everything with your current lighting package? Are there any areas where you need more light? Do you have any case lights in the rear or camp lights around the truck's bed?

    Best,
    Bill

Got it, thanks! Yes it is similar, my bumper just doesn't have that hole right in the middle, but I wouldn't use it anyway - just 4 other symmetrical mount points.

Goegeous truck dude, I was lucky enough to place an order for this truck when she worked for SETF! They made this truck for 1 year and during Covid, it's definitely a very rare gem!

    Front Suspension refresh!

Kept the same 2.5 C/O but replaced the UCA and LCA with LSK suspension Boxed UCA and LCA. Definitely much stronger
Also added King 3.0 3 Tube Bypass

The ride is now super nice on road - haven't had a chance to run it off road yet but will wait to do a refresh to the rear before I test and tune
Currently cycling 10" of travel (could be 12 if I had fiberglass) with 37" Toyo Mts

Is that the long travel kit?

What does it feel like vs just with the 2.5? I've never had a chance to ride in a truck with front by-pass so always curious on what it's like.

I just took it out to the desert today.
I gained so much more confidence with the bypass out of the box. It is still very soft so will need some tuning, but at least im not stuffing my fenders and pogo sticking
