    GEN 3 CREWMAX - FRONT AND BACK NEEDED

    Need brakes and don't want to crush the wallet.
    PLEASE gimme some suggestions on price tiers. Labor will also be needed (probably)

    What's the best, what'll get me the most miles, what'll get me stopping power in the mountains, but more around town in traffic. I need front and back, maybe rotors, maybe calipers.....

    Performance: would love em but not necessary
    Mid Range: would be a great compromise
    Budget: would be great, but must be of quality....crap brakes will not do. i have kids

    Ready....GO!!

    Stop tech makes a pretty good stuff. I think you could get them from summit racing for around 400 front and 400 back

    Up and down the mountain. It eats pads.

    Aftermarket: Stoptech, EBC, Power Stop. Summit Racing usually has decent prices. Nothing wrong with OEM pads and rotors though.

    I've gotta do wifey's car soon. What the Audi dealer wants for that is stoopid.

    Any decent ceramic pads have minimal dust. Some folks don't realize that you get much better braking with semi metallic but you also get the dust. There's always a trade off.

    Hard to beat Wagner HD semi metallic pads. That would be my choice....if you wanted to go that route. Especially if you tow/haul a lot..

    I remember something much worse as a kid. My mom driving back to Drain from Eugene, OR on a dreary, heavy rainy foggy night, and trying to pass a large Weyerhauser (quite possibly a Georgia Pacific rig) chip truck hauling ass south on the I-5 on it's way to Coos Bay, ok wood chips, with total blinding spray back with wood chips flying all around. What's crazy is my mom didn't bat an eye. Those of you that live in Oregon know EXACTLY what I'm talking about....( back then the truckers got paid by the load...hence...haul ass...)
