What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I installed my Magnaflow exhaust yesterday and it sounds awesome.

 

Stock Mini Cooper yes, Mini Cooper on 40s probably not. Looking down side. Front and rear door open for those looking for steps

 

-Fresh coat on the engine skid
-Prepped transmission skid for install

 

I installed a clamp to secure the iPod mount better. 100% more stable than with just the floor mount.

this will either hold a GPS like a garmin or an iPad with a map app. What is your setup? I am leaning toward a garmin ‘Tread’ or “Overlander” so I can buy the BC map from Backroad Maps.

 

I’m planning on the garmin tread and adapting the innov8 mount to work with my rago

 

What did you use for a blackout kit? Love the tundra...hate the chrome.

Built a low profile push guard. Also if anyone ever needs a higher pour for oil this quart milk bottle works and threads in.

Did you purchase paintable ones or painted the texture ones? I’m looking to do the same with silver sky metallic color.

 

Painted at a local dealership. I don't know if they offer paintable versions but whatever I got was painted just fine.

Continuing on with the makeover, I ordered some overlays from @EC1. Any idea on lead time for the 1G3?

 

Boost offers the caps bare and ready to be painted. It's what I did when I bought mine.

 

Cool. I just lathered mine in Armor All until now.

 

It back fired on me a little because my painting set up hit a snag and I then didn't want to install the mirrors without the caps painted. Painting the finished caps would have been no harder in hind sight

 

Yeah I drove around a couple times without any mirror caps. The mirrors are shielded pretty well underneath the caps.

 

That might be a better spot for the rear window switch?

 

Finished the upper pinch weld fold and hit with rustoleum piant then with rustoleum bed liner paint.

Well, delivery from China finally arrived. And, it's a snack tray!

Carbon steel, non-stick coating. Stuck to those two magnets mounted on the end of the 67 Designs arm.
Here's where it gets stored when not in use:

 

Mixed up Monday! Rough Country MOLLE side panels and Real Truck (Truxedo) Elevate Rack. RC manufactures them for Tacos; Amazon warned me they wouldn't fit. He he!

I need to get some longer bolts, as well as drill 4 new holes at the top of the pillars for the upper brackets, but the fit will look like they were made for each other.

Annnnnnnnd, I just got approval to order a Yakima MajorShady! I will pull that trigger later tonight.

But then I need to replace or paint the panels next to the stereo surround, and that means doing the same on the door arm rests, and the steering wheel, and I'm sure that will lead me to something else I didn't know bothered me (that shouldn't).

Someone needs to make his build page private because it's killing my free time.and I've run out of excuses for the deliveries.

 

For me, the eye rolls are deafening. Then I remind her she's so much more cool when she ignores me.










Edit: I'm kidding about the last part. 1) I could never get away with that unscathed and 2) I actually wish we could spend more.time together, not less. The first part is absolutely true.

 

Finished the OEM power tailgate lock install. What a nice kit! Has everything you need, took maybe an hour. Stoked! Tonneau cover shows up Friday.

 

Did an oil change on Saturday. First time using the Fumoto valve and OMG is that little thing a game changer! So worth it.
