Remote Start Mod?

I am not sure if this has been kicked around on here yet, but has anyone figured out a way to modify the remote start so it doesn't shut off when the door is opened or unlocked? This is the first vehicle I have owned with a remote start that does this and i have a hard time making sense of it.

 

Nope, just ditch it and go aftermarket. I recommend Fortin Evo One.

Does it use the same remote or is there a separate one?

 

It can use the factory remote, or you can upgrade to the RF remote to extend range.

Viper alarm and problem fixed. I have the 5706v2 and its a great alarm and you can upgrade to ur likeing with all sorts of sensors in the long run. 1 mile radius and doesnt shut off when opening door
