    Hello all!

    First post here.

Picking up my new Capstone tomorrow. Pretty exciting. After two Raptors I'm looking forward to a bit more luxury and less off road. Wondering if there have been any common defects on these trucks that I should check on before taking delivery?

I've read posts regarding poorly fit body panels and will have a close look before sealing the deal.

Anything else to take special interest in?

    Thanks!

Definitely give it a good once(or twice) over. If ordered with extras, make sure they are accounted for. Make sure rear bumpers are snug, not loose bouncing around. These 2 things were the biggest issues I ran into. Better to catch early, keep from running back to the stealership again and again fixing it

    Welcome from West MO

Yea definitely look over all the panels and gaps to make sure nothing is to crazy or far off. Some might say take it for an extended test drive and make sure you can live with the blind spots and other aspects that come with the 3rd gen. With the 360 camera system and the other sensors the blind spots aren’t that big of a deal. Other than that, I’m sure some people will chime in and tell you if there is other things to look out for. I’m about a month into owning my limited and have been happy so far. Only have 675 miles on it but been super happy so far. Nice choice on the capstone, love that model but with a toddler I cannot have the white interior. Welcome to the forum!

lol I have a 14yr old and I still couldn’t have white interior. Mine is black and only had it a little over a month and the back already has shit spilled all over the floor. Luckily all weather mats were one of the first mods.

I get it. Have some concerns about the white armrests and console. I know to each his own, but personally, we love the interior. We're retired so way past the toddler stage. Plan on doing some road trips for sure.

We're almost retired. Love our Capstone. I keep some leather seat cleaner and a cloth in the truck. If there is a smudge, I wipe it off right away. No problems. Congratulations on the new truck from Oshkosh, WI

The only thing I had noticed on mine was drivers side rear bumper end cap "gap"was a little off other than that the truck has been nothing short of ideal.
The white interior will be fine, leather is very forgiving that is unless your passengers are playing with a box of markers.
    All the best from
    MA.

Greetings from the West and welcome to the board.

Give a good go around before you take delivery.

Mine has no issues today, like your my needs change after RAM CTD, the Toyota is a very nice transition.

Enjoy and get back with some picture

    Cheers!
