Looking for help with Dasaita G12 install in 2020 Toyota Sequoia with JBL. Here's some head unit and harness pics...

I had no problems installing a Max 10 or a Vivid 11 in my 08 Sequoia with JBL but this one is winning the battle. Any help is appreciated! Also, wondering if anybody connected the grounds. I don't recall having them in the past. Lastly, I had to set up a trigger wire to the stock rear cam. Is it necessary with the 2020, too? If so, which is the wire? Couldn't find any support pics/guidance in this thread.

And some CB004 Power Cable pics...

Only connection I could make and one that was close but connectors didn't seat fully...

Thx for your input. Per their website, the CB004 is used for 2014-2018 Sequoia's and the Amazon rep and the Dasaita rep said it would connect to my 2020 HU. Here's a comparator pic from their website showing the back of my HU vs the example HUs. Wondering if anybody put a Dasaita in a Sequoia newer than 2018.

I looked at their website again.
I don’t think they gave you a cb004 can bus.

This is my spare cb004 canbus

Thanks for all the great pics, Oscar! Looks like all my connectors and pins seem to match yours and the only difference I see is on the canbus. Do you see something different that I need to call out to Dasaita? Also, does your stock HU look like mine? I think the problem is mating the connectors w/ the truck harness. The canbus packaging says CB004-X and it was stuffed into another package with HL-BZ01-CA written on it.

same here only difference I'm seeing is the canbus.

my stock HU looks different in the back, and I don't have JBL.

wonder if they updated the canbus for their radios. might order one from Amazon just to check it out.

Thanks. Actually, I consulted with the Dasaita store front at Amazon and Dasaita sales support to confirm my purchase would work on my 2020 Sequoia. I wanted to get the HU from Amazon since I can purchase an extended warranty (3 years for like 60 bucks), but Amazon wasn't selling a HU w/ the CB004. Since I didn't want to purchase the package (cheaper) from Dasaita I purchased the HU from Amazon and then purchased the CB004 from Dasaita/China. I've been spamming Amazon and Dasaita on this. I was looking at the back of the HU for the 23-24 Sequoia (and they actually say it is for 22-24 on the Dasaita site!) and some of the connections on the back of the 23-24 HU are the same as mine. Wondering if it is a hybrid canbus or something. All I know is that I am way tired of looking at the tiny 7" screen!

which g12 did you order on Amazon?

also found the cb004-x on amazon, https://www.amazon.com/ViaBecs-Harness-Corolla-Highlander-Amplifier/dp/B09BBB5B83?th=1
but it doesn't have the sequoia on the compatibility list

do you have a link to the canbus you bought from dasaita? this is the one I found for the cb004 like mine https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...n-bus-adapter-wire-harness-for-toyota-cb004-3

Damn, you have a good eye. I searched Amazon but using CB-004. The one you found seems to be the same as the one I have, but w/ an older build date.

This is what I purchased from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CQNV8H58?th=1

I don't have a link to Dasaita as the person I was working w/ thru chat hooked me up thru the chat w/ the one I got for $65 expedited shipping from China, supposedly. I kinda wore her down for a discount ;) . I assumed this is what she was sending (but the canbus doesn't match mine) https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...wc-aux-360-camera?_pos=3&_sid=7295da78b&_ss=r .

I asked her about the CB004-3 and she said that one wouldn't work for me.

odd i wonder what the difference is between my cb004 and the cb004-3.

probably just be best to wait on dasaita to contact you back and see what they say.

Looks like I needed the CB047-X canbus. It is used in the 2022 to 2024 Sequoias, per the website, and apparently for the 2020's too. All fits and everything is great HOWEVER I still have the problem with no rear cam. Apparently there is a trigger wire to connect even after they told me repeatedly there wasn't. I have instructions now that I have to try. Also have a problem retaining the factory data line. They provide a connector but that doesn't work. Asked them for guidance here, too. Stay tuned.

The freebie power connector behind the far right blank below the HU connects to a dual fast USB charger that I used successfully in my 08. Apparently the connector is a bit larger now in the 2020 so I have to send the new dual USB charger back. Anybody know of a good replacement for the newer model 2nd gens?

Anyone know how to plug in the factory USB/ aux jack that is near the cup holders to the dasaita head units? I'm confused about how to go about this

I'm literally bugging about this now. Based on their consistent responses of use the single and double USBs for that. We have a cable but it doesn't come with your unit. one actually did but it doesn't seem to make up to any of the small connectors from the truck wiring. Here's a pick of the ends of the cable. It's about 8" long

your can-bus should have included the usb adapter. when I bought all my stuff the first go around I didn't know and bought this one for my 2017 non jbl. still used the one I bought for my 2nd unit and have the dasaita as a spare.

    Sure, here you go.
    https://www.bestbuy.com/site/axxess...-4runner-accord-black/9616715.p?skuId=9616715
the square connector looks the same on the inside as the one you posted in your picture, 4-pin and the two top guides

this is the one that came with my can-bus
    https://www.dasaita.com/products/da...r-radio-gps-audio?_pos=1&_sid=562722ff3&_ss=r
still the same square 4-pin connector with the two guides inside

there's another connector, AX-TOYUSB-2, but that's only for 2010-2013 toyota.

there's also this one for 2018 and up toyota, AXUSB-TY6
does this connector look like it would match your oem connection?

Been reading this and other threads and decided on the new 10.2 Android 12 and do the amp bypass harness. I have a 2014 non-JBL. I had another Chinese $200 off-brand floating 10.5 CarPlay head unit that the screen went out on (I knew what I was getting into for the money.)
My question, as far as support, is it better to purchase a Dasaita through the Dasaita site or Amazon? I see on their site they’re always having a “sale” lol. It’s funny when it pops up “2 days left of the sale” and you go back a week later and it still 2 days.

This is an easy one. Always buy the Chinese stuff from Amazon cause u can get a 3 year extended warranty cheap. My max10 screen went after 2.5 years and I replaced it with a vivid11 that only cost the price of the new extended warranty. Sold that truck and just bought a 2020 and put a G12 in it. Cost a little more than getting it from China but I got me my extended warranty

Looks like they only offer a 2 year warranty, but still seems like a good option with these things.

You can get a 3. Just got one for my g12 in Feb. If it doesn't automatically show to the right, below the price, u can search asurion and find a 3 year for mobile, I think, electronics

Well @Ryuu , it arrivedand got installed yesterday and still doesn't work. The USB drive was recognized by the stock HU data USB and all three USBs of the G12, but not the stock data USB when the AXUSB-TY6 is used. Any ideas? Anybody have success here. All connections were repeatedly checked. Is there a feature somewhere I have to change?

Another question... Any idea on how to turn off the stock reverse cam lines? I have two sets going on and I only want the Dasaita one since it bends. I know I only had the Dasaita lines on my 08 w/ the Max10 and Vivid11. What gives??

All three. All three worked with the USB drive directly installed and all three were tried using the connector and the stock USB data reader. None worked any the stock reader worked prior to the HU swap

id check if maybe one of the pins on the adapter wasn't bent. only other thing I can think of is maybe a firmware update, or there's some setting in the G12 that needs to be enabled. do you know if the g12 still has you choose the toyota 08 settting for the can-bus to retain oem functions?

I checked the pins and I'll prob check again to confirm. I didn't see any settings in the g12 and it's all updated. I sent a message to the eBay seller. Can't really send to harness manufacturer unless it a vender

If you're already on the newest firmware from a few days ago on the dasaita forum, my guess would be the adapter honestly.
If the adapter looks fine then maybe dasaita support through the Amazon might be able to tell you why the oem usb isn't recognized with the adapter to the radio.
